I'm using a Logitech keyboard.

I do also own a gamepad, but for some strange reason it doesn't work right now. ;-(

LE KEYBOARD

A Dell one, to be precise. Not the sexy multimedia one, just the normal one. With a cord. If I had a converter however, I would probably use the PlayStation 2 controller.

The one who uses controllers with auto-fire buttons are evil and cheating their butts off, IMO. ;p

The keyboard, because it's a lot more convenient for typing, and we all know how important team chat is. Pretty much everyone is going to vote keyboard in my opinion.

I use a gamepad. A really nice one too, a Logitech wireless. I play a lot of console games, so a gamepad is a lot more natural to me than a keyboard.

I use a Saitek keyboard with pretty blue LED lights under the keys that I don't need because I've memorized the keyboard completely.

Up arrow = look up
Down arrow = Crouch
Left arrow = Move left
Right arrow = move right
Space = jump
CTRL = Shoot
Enter = Change weapon
Shift = Run

My hand layout is kinda weird. I press space with my thumb, reach to shift with my index finger, press CTRL with my middle finger (sometimes I'll press CTRL with the joint on my middle finger so I can reach enter easier, if I need to switch guns quick and don't feel like hitting number keys), and use my ring finger and little finger on the arrow keys. I'll reach to enter with my middle finger when the time comes, but I usually use my left hand to reach to number keys. Ring finger always presses up, and little finger always presses down. I always use my middle finger to do super speed / golden jumps. I can press shift much faster with my middle finger than I can with my index finger.

The end.

Well, on the subject of controls:

Left: Left arrow; right index finger
Right: Right arrow; right ring finger
Up: Up arrow; right middle finger
Down: Down arrow; right middle finger
Run: Left control; left pinky finger
Jump: Left alt; left middle finger
Fire: Left space (I have two =D); left pointer finger
Change weapon: hit numbers and enter with whichever hand is closest until I get something I'm happy with.

I used ALT for jump until I started playing in windowed mode rather than fullscreen all the time. ALT in windowed mode doesn't like working.

Of course I use a keyboard =P
I use left to fire and type something, and right for everything else. Funny thing is that I do alot of other things with left.

Shoot - Shift
Jump - Ctrl
Switch Weapon - Enter
