JDC - Now Accepting Submissions
So you want to add a level to the JDC map pool without going through the pain of adding all the complicated triggers? Then now is your chance to do so. Instead of commandeering levels as usual, I thought it would be a good idea to do something a little different. All you have to do is make submissions and suggestions, and we (mostly I) will do the rest.
Keep in mind that JDC has certain standards when it comes to level quality. Furthermore, brand new levels have priority over older ones, and larger levels are preferred. And while you can submit nearly anything, we are mainly looking for levels for gametypes like Assault and Assassination. You could also suggest a Single Player level to be used for Assault if you think it can work. As for sending submissions, you could message me whenever I'm online, or just post a link in this thread.

I, however, have a few questions.
1. How much work do we have to do on our lvls? Can we submit entire lvls, without you editing it? Or do we just submit 'skeletons' and let you put in the events? 2. What kind of suggestions are you looking for? How much can be overruled by you? 3. Er... take care! |

To Evilmike: Will do.
To WR: 1.) You don't have to do anything, and it might be easier for me to edit the level myself. 2.) I would consider just about any suggestion right now. I'm not going to put too many restrictions on suggestions and submissions aside from what I recommended. But it is just a recommendation. I should also mention regular Battle levels would be especially useful.

Sux level
^ I made the above level a while ago in about a day or two. It uses a horrible converted tileset (at least imo) and is not really all that great itself. It's meant for instagib. This definately doesnt match the quality of my levels (imo), but I didnt want to just leave it there nagging at my shoulder. I didn't want to release it either because it would lower my rating, so here you go. Its generally finished. If you want to alter anything about it, please ask me beforehand. You wanted at least something so here you go...

It's a start. Any other takers out there? Just so you know, it doesn't necessarily have to be your level if you're making a suggestion.

I decided to just do all of the Assault work myself. Submissions for CTF and Battle levels would still be greatly appreciated.

After all thinking of that should I even get started I finally made a background and some common-settings for a new level which would be supposed to be an assault-level...so, if I'm able to finish the 'skeleton' within the begin of next jdc, will you still accept to edit and put it into event-maps, Blur?

Possibly.

You'd be more than welcome to use my Hidden Palace stage (under tileset conversions), though having it be anything other than a standard battle level would be a bit tough to do. I'm also not sure if you need 1.23 levels/sets or if all types are welcome.
If 1.23 is needed, I have a Dust Hill set I've been sitting on for a bit that I could put finishing touches on (I'm having problems with layer 8 in my demo stage right now). I can send the source images to someone with that version and have them compile the thing, then have it moved back to my 'puter... |
