Whereas, like, y’know, Devan Shell, who’s the enemy in the original Jazz Jackrabbit, has kind of become this Uncle Junior type figure, wearing like a y’know, a Sweatsuit and everything, and uh, we pitched it around town, we got a couple nibbles, uh, everything’s kinda gone quiet on it. (quiet) But I want it to happen.

Hmm, I dunno. It sounds like a drastic and stupid change at first, but it can be interesting if pulled off right. The previous JJ games have been pretty self-ironic. If that attitude is retained, and perhaps even improved, JJ3 might become a kick-butt parody on stuff like GTA!

RAIN ON PARADE TIME:

From the general words he picked and what he said, it looks like he's been talking to publishers rather than developers at Epic. What tells me that this is actually more than it seems is this line:
"everything’s kinda gone quiet on it."
It sounds like he's been having trouble getting a team of developers interested, especially because the "pitch" is 2 years old as it is.

Overall, it looks like CliffyB does really care about the stupid rabbit game, but developers don't want to dedicate any time or effort to it. They're all too busy with other projects to get started on this one.

...Such as Unreal Tournament 2007, right? -_- Eh, Jazz3D would be kickbutt if made on the Unreal Engine 3.0...

Beat me up for this if you will, but I think the next Jazz should be very much in the game design style of say "Sly Cooper" I'd much rather have cel-shaded graphics over polygonal type graphics when it comes to Jazz Jackrabbit.

And Spaz better be in there too.

Personally I've already had enough of cellshading. I'd like to see Jazz3 be like Jazz2 - "dirty" graphics, with detail positioned somewhere between "realistic" and "cartoony".

If so I'm not gonna buy it.

If, however, the four days of summer break I had so far destroyed my brain so much that I can't understand English properly anymore and it's not like I fear it could be (Hey watch me I'm 50 Jazz!) then I'm happy. :D

Jazz would actually look pretty cool in a hooded blouse and big pants IMHO (leaving the bandana as it is). At least better than in semi-HanSolo outfit. But maybe I think so because that's how I wear. =P

I'd rather play "Jazz Jackrabbit: The Dark shell Menace" than "jizy Jackrabbit: Pimp yo hood, yo!"

I need to look through my archival cds, but I'm pretty sure I once made a pretty shoddily done picture of Jazz going "street".

I wouldn't worry about the pimped looks. I think Noogy made the drawings and I consider him sane.

In Paris, I was in a comic shop and I saw some Mickey Mouse adventure comic thing. It had Minnie ( or whatever his girlfriend's name is ) on it, too. Without ears, which she apparently got transplanted to her breast. God save us all.

I will withhold any comments until this game comes out which it never will.

i'm impressed and glad for it. HOpe the oldy can push it a bit!
