By the way, my support goes to Seattle. It's affordable, it has stuff to do, and it seems that it would be easiest for people to get to.
If it turns out that there is little or any competition for Seattle, we could probably end up just skipping the final vote if no one objects too much.

I would like to put forth Santa Cruz, which I am fairly familiar with. Here are a few of our features:

My vote goes for Seattle too.

Banff would be great, but it's rather infeasible. It's a 90 minute drive from the closest major airport (Calgary), and accomodation there is expensive (unless we went camping, which could be fun). Activities even slightly outside the town (like hikes) require driving, and I doubt that many/any would be bringing cars.
So my vote goes to Seattle, mainly because it has been most discussed so far, and I've never been there.

SEATTLE, WA.
Seattle is the perfect place. It's got all kinds of geeky stuff for us to do, there are fast food places everywhere, and geeks are nothing unusual there. ;p |

BæÅüMÃ(-)Ñ pops in out of obscurity, killing Mr. Continuity, and leaving plot holes in his wake as he treads out of the dark recesses of some unknown neglected corner of the War Tavern, clutching his dusty platinum blaster
Well well well... I got this feeling to drop by J2O, and I find this... the west coast meeting is finally happening? or did I miss the last one? Nice... I'd prefer somewhere in California.. though my opinion is prolly moot anyway... Santa Cruz sounds like an idea... nice weather there, not to mention that Gilda's has some good calamari, and the boardwalk park isn't too bad, with the limited rides and the full-functioning arcade... The beach is all good, though I'm not too much of a beach guy, as I live in Fresno, California rather... I'd drop a vote for Fresno, though what you can do here is pretty limited ![]() ![]() ((Oh yes, and I send my deepest apologies to Spaztic for abandoning Spiffyjuice)) |

There was one in 2004... this is the second.
Nice to see you again, though I'm guessing there's a better topic to say that in in Misc. |

Even if you meant London, I hate to tell you, that's not West Coast of the US.
