I can't remember if this has been done before, if it hasn't feel free to...

...Go there!

Edit: This is what happens when you aren't allowed to upload to J2o.

Why is your school allowing you to use IE?

My icons are so pretty.

EDIT:

How do I rearrange the order of the search engines? I'd like to have the J2O search plug-ins (Jazz before Spaz) at the top, ERE in the middle, and JCF on the bottom.

I depends the order you install them in. Uninstall them, and reinstall them in the order you want them in.

Pretty awesome idea to create these as firefox-native plugins. Even I as admin will find these to be greatly useful

I think IE7 is also going to allow something like this?

This explanation of how to use Yubnub to search J2O is a good addition, but it's less powerful than your plugins: J2O commands for Yubnub (less features, restricted to Yubnub...)

Here's an addition you can use to allow for quick surfing to J2O sections. This does not in any way replace your plugins, it provides for quick surfing though. I never finished/officially published the page, but might someday.

Dude, that's some cool stuff too! This would be possible with IE too, but I can't do it... it would require some real programming, something I am unable to do... sorry :/

So, that's why I had the feeling this had been done before... Yubnub... I just couldn't remember what it was... Ohwell ^^.

Edit: I thought of IE6... I dunno about IE7... it won't be for WinXP anyways, right?

IE7 will be released for Windows XP, if that's what you mean. In fact, beta 2 is available for download.

Thanks! *downloads*

Edit: Apparently there is this thing for IE7, called OpenSearch, it doesn't seem as good as FF's but go ahead and try to do sometihing of it...

If I were you, I wouldn't bother trying to make search plugins for IE7. The IE7 featured on Windows Vista won't accept them, as it uses a different search plugins..thing.

I made something that should work with all explorer versions, that's gotta be enough. Oh, and Cooba fixed the icons. Thanks.
