Australian Meeting?

Is there going to be an Australian meeting anytime in the future?

Just wanted to know.

I'm pretty sure all 3 of you can easily meet up at Ayer's Rock and enjoy a tasty burger without making a topic about it.

There are not many Aussie Jazz2 players. But I don't see anything wrong with asking about one, because it could be organized.. but I insist you wait until the next time I am in Aussieland.

If we just met with people that lived in the same city, then there would be no meetings.

Edit: This was directed to ShadowRabbit, by the way.

Last I checked, Ayer's Rock wasn't a city. It's a nifty Landmark.

It seems most aussie jj2 players live around the Melbourne area. That's where I was on my trip. So getting everyone together wouldn't be all that difficult.

And there are more than 2 or 3 people. There's, like, 4.

First we need to know who lives in Melbourne. Anyone? I do.

n00b, I didn't say Ayer's Rock was a city. I'm not stupid, ya know. Alice Springs is simply the closest place to Ayer's Rock.

First of all, the only way a meeting gets organised is if someone organises it.

Second of all, you may have to leave your Metro area, especially considering how few Jazz players there are. I think there are maybe one or two Melbourne players who are still active, and a good number who have since stopped playing. I doubt all of them will be willing to do a meeting, but you could make a small one.

The first thing is finding interest. You will have to travel, probably, to wherever is overall the most convenient location. I doubt you will be able to find enough people for more than a get-together in Melbourne (but you might want to try that first). The Australian JJ2 community just isn't as strong as the American or European ones.

That's actually because JJ2 wasn't even released in Australia but it somehow got here.

Trust me, I'm trying to get as many people into JJ2 as possible. I've got 1 or 2 with no internet and 2 or 3 that have problems online - they always CTO after 30 seconds. I can't seem to fix that either.

Because I live to the north-west of Melbourne, and about 20-45 minutes away I'll probly have to go a long way. Same as the other 3-5 people that I mentioned above.

Haha, I do not mean you'll have to travel 20-45 minutes. For the American meeting last year, we had one person come from the United Kingdom. I travelled from Seattle to Toronto, which is well over 4,000 kilometres.

Well, uh, OK. But how many members are there in Melbourne? None have posted here so far, which is an indicator that it may not be able to work out, unfortunately, unless you are willing to travel.

So, that's quite the meeting! You can also sit in front of the mirror and meet another famous Australian player! =D
