Definition (War Tavern)

The description of this forum simply states 'Jazz 2 stories.' This isn't exactly accurate because a lot of stories here aren't directly about Jazz 2 at all. I think we should have a new description to define what and what doesn't belong here; for example, do poems go here or in the Art forum? I'd like to have this cleared up.

I'd say this would be considered my definition:

'This is a forum for prose taking place in the Jazz Jackrabbit universe, that may or may not contain Jazz 2 characters.'

Not all of it takes place in the Jazz 2 universe, either. I think it's pretty much "prose in some way related to the community".

I've gotten away with stuff broader than that. How about "Prose."?

I've moved this into Feedback because this kind of discussion really doesn't belong in the WT. Your point is valid, but personally I can't do anything about it. One of the admins might.

If that's the case, what about moving the forum into the Non Jazz-Related category, and changing the description to reflect that? "Prose" is too terse, but we could come up with something. What about completely merging it with the Art Forum?

I agree that the description should be changed, at least. I don't really read the forum though, so I'm not the best person to come up with one.

I support using it to the Non-Jazz Related forums. As a description, what about "Fiction written by members of this community" or something along those lines?

I'm not too fond of the idea of merging it with the Art Forum, but if you decide to make it a subforum I think that might work as well. Moving it to Non-Jazz would work just as well IMHO.

I like Stijn's definition.

I'm fine with moving it to the non-jazz related category. I too am not too fond of the idea of merging it with the art forum. I think the War Tavern is a historical monument of sorts, and it's kind of cool how it's its own community to some extent. But I'm not a regular War Tavern visitor so others may have better judgment.

I've created a poll in the War Tavern to see what people's opinions are.
