I went north. Twice, by accident, to save time. A series of oddly familiar events followed.

I'll have to go with Stijn because he posted first. Cooba's commands work and do the same thing as Ae's.


[Disbalance] Uberbob points at the Drudge, and his mechanical arm pops open. A small device pokes out, and pushes the Drudge off-balance with a strange blue beam
Shuriken dramatically slices the Drudge (10 damage)
the Drudge is met by much firey whippage (8 damage)
Fooruman and his canoe fight the Drudge. Mainly the canoe. (10 damage)
the Drudge dies
Abydos defends
[Freeze] Abydos opens its door and an icy trickle of water pours out, mixing into the snow. Suddenly, snow pours up from the bridge and covers Fooruman/Canoe, then freezes solid!

It's a one-turn thing that already took effect. The dispellable things appear in mouseover after the (+) or (-).

EDIT: Note that that's a subtraction sign in parenthesis, not a censored word.

Rules question: how does freeze work? Does it prevent the character from doing anything in their next turn (spells/movement/attack/defend), or is it something more subtle?

I think it prevents you from doing anything, including spells, because Fooruman's spells disappeared from the spells list. Most especially Quantum Squaredance

Technically, it switches their team and brings their movement to 0 for one turn.

[Slay] The Mythslayer swings his sword and a blast of light follows in the wake of the blade. As it flies it takes form as a swordblade of light and picks up speed, and within seconds it has so much momentum that it blows clean through the Lurker

[Last Breath] the Lurker shudders and raises its arms. It begins to twitch hideously and fall apart, then, in the midst of it's death-throes, it is suddenly calm... and lifts itself up like a puppet, dark energies defining it's form even where there is no body left, ready for a final struggle.

[Summon Arabian War Acupuncturist] L33tz4n takes out a handful of needles and holds them up. A sandstorm whips through the air, and when it clears an Arabian War Accupuncturist stands in front of her. He respectfully takes the needles and leaps into position
the Accupuncturist stabs Faw/Uberbob (-6 damage)
Uberbob slaps and Faw stabs the Servant (6 damage)
Shuriken defends
the Lurker lunges at Faw/Uberbob (5 damage)
the Servant claws Faw/Uberbob (5 damage)
[Summon Abyss Monster] Abydos opens its door, and from the darkness beyond a single shadow bursts out and speeds down into the abyss. As the door closes, a new monster raises himself from the pit, all the while grumbling about how 'monster' is such a derogatory word...
Carl complains at Faw/Uberbob until their ears start to bleed (5 damage)

[Hypnotize] L33tz4n takes out a stopwatch and waves it around a bit. Carl is too busy laughing at the pathetic attempt at hypnosis to resist the mindmagic spell L33tz4n then casts
Uberbob slaps and Faw stabs Carl (3 damage)
Carl is met by much firey whippage (2 damage)
Shuriken dramatically slices Carl (2 damage)
the Accupuncturist stabs Faw/Uberbob (-6 damage)
[Abyss Sacrafice] Abydos opens its mouth and, from the darkness, suddenly a sickly light shines forth. Abydos screams as part of its mouth melts away and pours into the abyss... and from the abyss comes running up Carl, filling its wounds. (Carl full healed, Abydos damaged by amount restored)

Carls defense was still activated. This turn, however, you do full damage (since you moved him rather than having him defend. I'm not sure why you would ever hypno someone to defend)

[AntiMagic] Uberbob jumps up and down a couple times then shouts something unintelligable. Somehow this process locks off the Accupuncturist's magic aura
