Oh too bad. Emp threatened me with a ban from this tourney if I wouldn't behave and accept his decision that I will be made a backup and he will be in the FIN team with Snooze and SJ.
I guess I have no choice but to leave this tourney ![]()

Sucer misunderstood what "backup" means and shouldn't have posted in the first place.
If you're all going to believe everything he says straight out, then good luck with your life. Furthermore, I don't need any measures to play (this one single game). Sucer hasn't been threatened with anything, I just said that he should learn to behave and take other people into consideration in such cases. You shouldn't have the authoroties to control the FIN team like that. Anyways if there is a rule that after 4 days of absence I become a backup, why didn't you make CL a regular member of the team? He is much more skilled than you.

I have the authorities to change team informations as the supervisor.
There's absolutely no difference at all between being a backup or being a player of the team. Either can play any round / game, whatever. You were made a backup because you were absent, it doesn't change anything for you. If there's no other means of making you understand that, then I'll just remove the term "backup" from the team rosters. Normal players and backups have all the same rights. @ Rep: You mistook "backup" for "substitute" in that conversation. @ Sucer: Hitch > CL, if I've got to use the childish "better" term. CL is very skilled and there's no denying that. Anyway he has the same rights as you have, as you just mentioned that the backups and normal players have the same rights. If you get the chance to play againts Slovenia, why doesn't Hipper and CL get their chance?

just get rid of the term backup and call every team member just 'Team member'... since if I understand right the backups can play whenever they want

No, it should have simplified things, but since then there are some people who misunderstood the term entirely. Those people (who include sucer) are now causing a completely meaningless ruckus.

I agree with Grytolle as the term backup normally means someone who plays in case others are not able to. If you think differently from some terms, then you have to define them Emperor! Always define the words you use if you feel that there will be a misunderstanding.
If I call Maverick a noob, then I normally am wrong. But when I say "Maverick is a noob" my word "noob" means a guy who owns me and that's why I don't like him.

What you explained is not what a "backup" is.
It seems you mixed up "backup" and "substitute". And you can say what you think till judgment day, but I used the term "backup" where it should be used, much unlike you. Now stay on topic, or off this thread. |

Ok, Stijn wins, whatever.
I don't use the term anymore in this tournament, so it doesn't really matter anymore now does it?! ![]() |

![]() ![]() I wonder, is this tourney started, or else when does it start? if it started, has something been played yet?

17:00 GMT is kinda a sux time for both Nl and Germany i think we all have to eat arround that time and our parents are not gonna postpone/delay or eat earlier so that we can play our online world cup game on jj2.
I dont know who i should contact indivually from both NL and GER to tell/ask this but i suggest to play at 19:00 GMT instead, that would be 20:00 our time. (GMT +1 ) NL team contact me on msn to decide together what level we are going to play.

This goes to show that you indeed learn something new every day...
Of course you may postpone matches, whatever the reason. Just so that you will have them played sooner or later. |

As I said, there was no way I could have known that you dutch and german folk would be facing such a problem. I do know now, so calm down and go with the flow.

I actually know one way to possibly revive this tournament and get it progressing ahead. If anyone else is interested.

Vivando is the co-supervisor then. We'll split authority and I'll respect each of his decisions.
Addendum: I'm not the 'noob' I was when I originally attempted to organize this, so feel free to not flame me this time, people. That is, if it's going to happen. |

To make sure there is activity as much as possible, there should be just few but large teams. The idea is that the tournament would be played in pairs of nations instead of single nations. The game mode would be 3 on3 CTF, and back-ups should be necessary. Each country should have at least 4 active players for the warteam. Certain neighbour countries would have to be counted as one:
Belgium-The Netherlands (Team Benelux) Canada-USA (Team North America) Finland-Sweden (Team Scandinavia) Germany-Poland (Team Mid Europe - Better name suggestions for this one are welcome) If there however are more nations that can prove of at least 2 active players, they can now fuse with another nation outside the list above, that has also got at least 2 active players. Locations(of COUNTRIES)don't matter anymore. They can now participate as a team in the tournament. These teams are free to name themselves how they like. If a team is focused more on another nation's players, the warteam should still have at least 1 player from the other nation in their warteam, even if he/she was only a backup. Of course they wouldn't have to use that player in every game. What would you say about this idea?

Of course it is. With the 'locations' I meant the locations of countries, not players. So the rest of the countries that want to ally up don't have to be relatives in distances or something.

That would be no longer "National Tourney" ;P I think that at least The Netherlands and Poland could play alone and Belgium could form a team with Germany (no idea how to call it ;D). Because then there would be at least one team more. Maybe Israel and UK could join too.
Hmm...but isn't it better to make another JJ2WC? There are rather more clans than nations which could form a team ![]()

I quite agree with your opinion. However, since this seems to be the first and probably the last national tourney, I still prefer giving this one another try.
