Really bad puns? I disagree the carrot puns were pretty good.

References to "pop culture" within the JJ2 community that would be funny to anyone but uproarious to a community member would be the best way to go. |
Sep 2, 2007, 06:33 PM | |
No wait. We can't include too much community stuff. If we're going to include fooruman which is a really good idea, we would need to convert the flash files to ...avi? That's easy you just need to republish the fla file. And here's my idea to how the game COULD work.
Code:
New Game -Single Player -Party Mode --Local Splitscreen --Internet Connection for Online Play --TCP/IP Lan Connection --IPX/SPX Connection for Direct Play --Serial Connection for Direct Play --(whatever other available multiplayer functions/subfunctions) Load Game Options -(all of whatever options you want) Extras -Development of JJ3D -Storyline of Jazz Jackrabbit -Foo Movies -Credits Also a cutscene in the beginning of JJ3D that shows the fooruman talking to Jazz and if the story line's going to be based on rescuing Lori who got captured, then have Jazz talking to the fooruman when Spaz runs up to jazz out of breath telling how Lori's been kidnapped. Then the fooruman vanishes leaving Jazz and Spaz alone to rescue Lori. Also, under extras, the Storyline section should include where the game started, the development of j2o, the development of jazz 2 mods and the development of jj3d. That's my $0.02 everybody. Discuss!

While I'm flattered that anyone other than me
On top of that, the Terexin sprite is owned by 3D Realms, and I know from experience that they're not likely to give it up for any amount of money. As a side note, the Foo Movies already exist in uncompressed AVI form. There's even a limited edition Foo Movie DVD that Spoy and I made when we met at his house in 2005. No, such a DVD can never be legally distributed. |

Ambsoft being sued for including a sprite from a DOS game into their product...Sounds kinda funny.
As long as they're not selling the game and they've stated that Fooruman is owned by

lol at jerry's sigh! that's really gay we cant include fooruman. up yours copywrite laws. i may sound way too enthusiastic about a bunny game but its not right! (-) we should find something they did illegal and say if you sue us for copywrite violation, we'll arrest you for...
sometimes playing dirty and blackmail is the best way to do things. thats how i view it

Hey Drmoo, we could just draw a new Fooruman sprite that is similar to, but not actually, the Terexin sprite. The parody laws should allow it to slide by.
But instead of doing something that takes half an hour at the most, let's go out and protest copyright laws for a cameo from a character not even related to the bunny game the dispute is over and be moronic half-wit forms of hippies. Don't forget going to jail for attempting to blackmail and sabotage a corperation! BRILLIANT IDEA That makes no god(-)ed sense considering that the target audience is this forum. I was not aware of all the four year olds we had at the JCF. |
Sep 4, 2007, 12:15 PM | |
What do you thinks been nibbling on your feet?
In all seriousness, I think the Foo Movies would be cool to include, but would be a dangerous idea. Don't forget you'd also have to change unfooruman, and most of the blocks. |
Sep 4, 2007, 01:08 PM | |
Shade, are you actually this moronic or are you trying to push my buttons?
I'm pretty sure a company like ambesoftware would remember to do something like redraw everything else (which is such a dangerous process apparently, but I'm sure they're the renegades to do it), especially since the project is expected to hit some turbulence to begin with. I am not disputing the coolness of Foo Products making a cameo appearence, I am disputing that there is no need to go to the lengths DrMoo has suggested to secure such an appearance (even if it "was" a "joke"), although apparently I'm wrong and everyone either thinks Ambesoftware is too stupid to have an artist redraw all the sprites to suit the parody laws or that the idea of redrawing the sprites is just plain impossible. |
Sep 4, 2007, 02:30 PM | |
The sprites have been redrawn thousands of times. While it's questionable, I'm fairly certain that in some cases something as simple as a recolor counts as a remake.
Anyway, while we'd all love Foo Products to be in the game somehow, that's (at this point) irrelevant. It's not our game to make, and even if it was it's only 1% done, so thinking this early about cameos and such would just be foolish. |
Sep 4, 2007, 03:01 PM | |
What is all this talk about the Terexin sprite? This is a 3D game.

In fact, adding the foo movies, which are more part of the community than the JJ universe, won't make much sense either. Unless Ambesoft is considering to do anything with fooruman or the terexin sprite, we should keep Fooruman and JJ3 separated.

Anyway, I agreed on both of you.

Isn't it rather obvious that I'm reminding the rest of the forum members and not Ambesoftware? I don't think they're stupid, and I'd wish you'd get off my (-) with all these comments about me being stupid. I'm simply reminding people that Foomovies contain sprites not owned by Epic, and there is an almost null chance that the copyright owners would allow the original content in a game they would gain nothing from. For a moron, I seem to understand things better than some people here, n00b. |
Sep 6, 2007, 02:15 PM | |
Actually the company would probably allow that. If people see the fooruman and go through the credits, they may actually say "oh look where this sprite came from! Let's play that game!"
We could be doing them a favor!

Yeah, but I know that I for one do not go through the credits. I usually skip them or wait for them to be over, without reading them. Besides, I'm not sure what happened to Moonlite Software...
|
Sep 6, 2007, 10:34 PM | |
Well that's you. I always read credits, just to show respect to the people who made something I just watched or played.

Both
![]() Let's get ontopic in the meanwhile. So why would Fooruman ever be added to Jazz3?

They can use ontopic stuff for humor too! This weird man has nothing to do with JJ at all :/

I'd like to say for the record that my original post about Fooruman being in JJ3 was a joke. That said, upon further thought I think it would actually be a pretty good idea.
The game clearly shouldn't just be a big community cameo-bag (if it's ever even finished, which is doubtful). However, having jokes/characters/etc from within the community (such as Fooruman, chickens, and possibly cornbread) would make the game more popular among its target audience (this forum). |
Sep 7, 2007, 09:51 PM | |
put me in the game XD , and ajazz. that would fit better :P

Well if we put ajazz in the game, eventually, jazz would end up commiting suicide.

Why not just a bonus episode with all sort of community jokes inside it? Just a community additions to the game.
