Level Creation Laboratory
LCL is a new level group founded by myself and Eigus. Members of LCL release their multi-player levels under LCL's banner, and generally help eachother to produce amazing levels where possible.
LCL is aimed at anyone who can make levels that don't absolutely suck, and is therefore suited to those who are still learning of JCS's true potential. Check out the site at http://fjol.leet.la/lcl/ If you wish to join, just post a screenshot or link to a multi-player level you have/have started making. If I see potential, welcome. Could I also request that LCL members do not publicly release any levels until after the release of the first LCL team project. Please note: LCL is NOT a clan, and as such, members of any clan are welcome to join. The same applies for those who are not in a clan. That being said, you may not join LCL if you are a member of another level group.

So we have another levelmaking group, that's great.
However the "learning of JCS's true potential" sounds funny because there were so many discoveries already made that I'd hate to see you guys reinvent the wheel over and over. So please, try to get familiar with the older members here if you haven't already, you (or anyone) can learn alot from them. |

I have been around here for years, but not particularly active, so I know a few of the older players abit.
I do not speak of "learning of JCS's true potential" as in making discoveries for the whole community. I mean discovering that which is known to some, for yourself. Basically, learning stuff you don't already know.

Now I'm gonna pull a D: .
It was supposed to be 'Laboratories', not 'Laboratory'... Oh well, makes the name less scattered xD Anyway, thanks that you did announce it, Fjol. Now I don't must censor the name in the textstrings in screenshots. Also, thanks, FS.

Depending on what is meant by "discovering true potential," I'd still suggest you do read articles about things, as there are tricks or exploits or whatever that took the community (/me) absolute years to discover, and it seems that if you don't educate yourselves about them, it could take a while before they come up spontaneously.

Of course, you can perfectly make awesome levels without using event transportation or tile cache tricks.
Good luck! ![]() |

But that is commonly referred to as "JCS tricks". Or are you talking about masterful keyboard shortcut skills?

Bah, I hate the part where levelmaking groups don't have homepages like clans do, so it's hard to know who's in which group..

I'm too advanced to learn new things about JCS.
![]() Sounds quite good though. A definite yes for aspiring level makers.

There's probably some hidden events and secrets that were indeed hidden in JCS that haven't been found. I'm too lazy to go searching them out though.

Hidden events: no. It's pretty easy to look at all the available events if you use alternate generation forms, and I doubt there are areas that JCS doesn't let you place. Secrets, though? Almost certainly.

There could be event # 666 that could do something what we don't know about.

It helps when people describe you as the embodiment of sarcasm itself, it also helps if you be somewhat obnoxious to help solidify that you're sarcastic. It's not exactly the most glorious or friend-filled path to take to be honest.
