2on2IT Results/comments
A new thread for the results, since the tournament started today. Don't post stuff about the levels, the brackets etc, you can do that in the other thread.
(Thanks Stijn for changing the title ;D )

Maybe there should be official warm up fights (you know like a round in wich you must train and play aginst teams and stuff and not get kicked you of the tournery for losing ect.)? I guess it will make traning much easier, at least for me.

yeah indeed, i don't see a reason in a warmup round. you can just play warmup games like that, it's no problem

Wow, I'm so happy with the fact that two matches have been finished this fast *edits his signature* .. Anyway, it would be great if you can mention the host in future posts as well, thanks.
I will add some pages for results and standings later on the site. Home again sunday, so maybe then.

So, to be clear, Scores will be combined, which will lead to a final result: a win, a loss or a draw.

Sdgs vs WCB
Round 1 Sdgs [1:5] WCB (Jungle's Edge of Sdgs) Round 2 Sdgs [5:4] WCB (BloodBunny's Lair of WCB) Overall Sdgs [6:9] WCB Round 1 was played on Monday 28th January. It was hosted by DS. The game was annoyingly lagged, but we still won with clear result. Round 2 was just finished, and it was hosted by Lejdi. Hoping that Lejdi somehow wouldn't lag as much as DS at least, and that the map was picked by us, I expected a good result from this game. However, Lejdi lagged way more horribly than DS, making it almost unplayable. While we kept dying nearly always with 3 health, I often didn't even see my death. Meaning I could have as well abused the lag, and recapture immediately if I happened to die with the flag(j/k.) A good, classic game(not counting lags.) Awaiting verifications.

Imo, it would be much better to count the final result of match by rounds, not by scores. However, that's just my feeling.
Anyway, Quickz, you could make more clearly rules how teams qualify to the next stage, because as we see, there might be many draws. ;P Hmm... Maybe I should post this in the other thread. eh.

As there are 5 groups of teams, the thought about only one team advancing from each gives me the chills. That'd (imo, of course) make hardly any sense at all.

I'd suggest that the first two of each bracket proceed. Those ten teams form 2 new brackets (randomly selected) with 5 teams each. Out of these brackets, the first 2 will make it to the semi-finals. Those ranked third play for rank 5 etc. That way it might take quite some longer time to finish, but maybe thus we can bridge the time until the next JDC season

That'd mean that if you prosper as a team, you'll be competing as individuals later on in the tournament. That'd be harsh crap.

So you're saying that you can sensibly divide 5 teams into 2 brackets?
Or are you saying that there should be another league stage afterwards, or something? Because that sounds complicated and quite unnecessary. I'll just go ahead and say that QZ is doing a fine job, although I support round based scoring with 3 rounds. |

If you read "players" as "teams" in my original post, it should be rather obvious what i meant.

iR-T [10-2] TR
iR-T's level: Happy Semiconductor CTF Result:5-0 to iR-T Comment: Fast and easy game. TR's level: Diamondus Warzone Result:5-2 to iR-T Comment: Aw, I saw lots of lagclones, so it was hard to kill enemy. And we very badly started. But GG Thanks for Veg for hosting both rounds. |
