Thumbs up

Alright. Some of you might've heard me talking about this level, and some might know that Coolman and me worked on it together. The construction of the level started at the 30th of August, 2001. We made it the same way as CTU world was made. After someone has made a part, he sent it to another person, and that person sends it to another person, and so on. Coolman and I had to send the level to eachother really often, because we did only a small part every time. We spent much of our time working on it though. For exemple, every time it was my turn, and I was on the PC, I worked on TaD daily, at least one hour a day. At the 10th of October, 2001, the level was finally done, and released. However we decided to wait a while before deciding to upload it, because LoC was uploaded a while before and we wanted that everone saw that too, because this is a 'sequal' to LoC, however it's different. Especially the ideas, the graphics, the storyline, the dissapearance of the elements and the quests are different this time. Tomorrow, Coolm@n or I will upload Cracco Time and Dimensions to J2o. This is probably the last of the LoC series; Cracco Land of Coins, Cracco Ruines, Cracco BuildUp, Cracco Delaes, Cracco Homittle Village, Cracco The Dark Caves, Cracco Darco Castle, Cracco Hideout, Cracco Fortress, and Cracco Coin were the other finished titels in the LoC series. People who liked LoC, will most likely like this one too.

The tileset made to create this level is CG, a tileset made by me (it's a tileset with very many different kinds of tiles, some from my other tilesets, some new), with help from Coolman.
In the next post, I'll talk about the level itself, and what you have to do.

Here goes...
First about the storyline. If you're familiar with the LoC levels, then you know that some bad guys, The Evil Trio (Doom, Destruction and Darkness) and their leader (Death) casted a curse upon the castle and sealed the coins and trapped the sages (LoC). When the coins were restored, Evil trio retreated, but attacked with an earthquake and caused the world to be in trouble, and recollected the coins, gave them to the Evil Sage, who hid them in the ruines of the world (Ruines).

When the coins were found back, the people began to rebuild their towns and so the town Build-Up existed. The people Sealed the coins and the sages, so these would never cause trouble again (BuildUp). These things made the Evil Trio really angry, 2 times defeated! Without the power of the coins and the strong magic of the Evil Sage (the evil sage lost his power because his power was connected with the elemental coins), they couldn't cast curses like this on the world again.

Red face

The levels Homittle, Delaes, DarcosCastle, Hideout and TDC are all happening at the same time and are linked to eachother in single player. As a revenge, Shader, the Lord Of Doom hunted down the people in BuildUp, who had to escape (BuildUp became a ghosttown). All the people now went to serperate places, like the village Hommittle. Homittle is a problemless village in the centre of the country with happy people (Cracco Homittle Village). The people who were brave enough to fight against Evil Trio, called the Revengers have made a hideout. Some thieves tried to steal all the treasures from Focight's Castle, and failed, so they're hiding there too (Cracco hideout).

East from the village there is a big dark cave, called The Dark Cave. Without the power of the elements, Darco created a fairly easy puzzle there (Cracco TDC). Guarding the city from the west, the delaes/sealed knights, with the support of the golden knights, dragoons, wolves, kotetsuna ninjas and other people live there to watch over the country (Cracco Delaes). Shader and Focight have chosen to live far away from the good guys, but Darco built his castle not far away, so you can travel to it and see how far you can get (Cracco Darcos Castle). Their leader, the Lord of Death was hiding somewhere, working on a secret project.

All the good kingdoms who were harmed by Evil Trio in the past gathered their powers and built one big Fortress close to the borders near Evil Trio. This would be the final battle. However, when Darco, Focight and Shader approached the Fortress with their troops they and were almost about to start they were ordered to retreat by one of the generals of the Death Army. Their boss, with the help of the Evil Sage and Blood (Blood is a death soul, who is kinda immortal) finished his plan. He has created time portals with very much mana (the Evil Sage has regained his strength, he created a new source of power, and Blood hasnt used his power yet).. This wouldn't mean anything good for sure...

PS: Thanks to Alberto for uploading these screenshots! You won't be able to see these if the host is not online (host = Alberto).

You dont need to be a genius to understand that when you destroy the world in the past, the world is gone in the future. So that's how the evil trio thought. Since they weren't humans from this planet, and they can breathe in space, they didnt give a * about this world. However, they couldn't destroy the world without getting enough magic/power/mana. They have gained acces to 8 different time eras in Gaia; Arise-Of-The-World (the year the world was born), PrepreHistory, Prehistory, Ice Time, Classic Ages, Middle Ages, Present and Future. In each time era, except the first one, they put 4 well-hidden artifacts. These artifacts weren't just dumb things, they were objects drawing all the mana in the area from every time & place they were in. The Evil Trio has settled in the Arise Of The World, waiting for the artifacts to be done with drawing power.

Something had to be done. The people from the Fortress saw the portal the Evil Trio went through to the Arise of the world, and because they forgot to close it, they were followed. The people were changed into rabbits for combat. Every artifact has a triggr under it, and if the trigger is pressed the artifact will be gone. When all the 4 x 7 = 28 artifacts are gone, Evil Trio's power supply will end. To defeat Evil Trio once and for all, you have to reach the boss and clear their Death Fortress. When all the artifacts are taken, the seal of the Blood's Tomb (in the AriseOfTheWorld) will be gone. Blood guards specific stuff needed to enter the Death Fortress. There are three triggerboxes in the Death Fortress, theyre guarded by Darco, Focight and Shader. When they're pressed the way to their boss will be opened and you have cleared the game, and saved the world for all times!

In other words, when you enter the Arise of the world u have to take the 7 time portals and in each time era find the 4 artifacts (SOMETIMES in a particular order, usually u can do them in any order you want), then go to the Blood's Tombe, get the ammo there, go to the Death Fortress and get the boss.

It's suggested that you go together, otherwise it will take long.

BTW in this topic I'll add some pictures to give you a taste of what the level is before I upload it tomorrow..

Some other things about the LoC series. Ask me here if you are stuck with ANY of the levels, or have any general comments/questions. If you don't have the whole collection and want the missing ones, ask me and I'll send them.

Okay, this concludes my long evening of writing stuff here. Have fun with Cracco Time and Dimensions tomorrow!

Talking Great!

Finally! I waited so long for this level. Is it true that this level is even better than Cracco Land of Coins? That´s very hard for me to imagine.. These screenshots look sweet! And I´m also happy that COOLM@N worked on this one, so he will get a part of the fame too. Hopefully you´ll upload this level as soon as possible, then I will review it.

I noticed, nice job Coolm@n! In my opinion, you and CraccoBoy are the best level/tileset creating team here in JJ2, although your invidual levels sometimes lack a bit (Craccoboy´s invidual levels are usually marvelous), but you´re still a great levelbuilder.

I really don't think we are the best level and tileset builders, Black Energy

Bolt is just a fan of our levels and tilesets Coolman, so it's his opinion. Nobody really IS the best or better levelbuilder, it all depends on the people's opinions.

And by the way Fquist, I did that because otherwise it will be one very long post, and people usually dont want to read long posts. Cutting a very long post in little posts is better.

I prefer long posts to lots of little short ones. Just makes it look like you're trying to get your post count up.

Anyway, TaD is out. If you've got a comment about it, I would advise rating it instead. Rate it what you think is best, but do NOT let your rating be swayed by previous uploads or the fact that you're in CC or anything of the like. Got it?
