Dude I've checked the servers yesterday a couple of weeks ago, there were only like 3 or 4 servers. This scheme to revive JJ2 online has been done by many people already and it's such a shallow achievement. Once you see it goes like that, it just gets old.

Like word up dude, because everyone gets on to play JJ2 at the same time. Those "tine zomes" concepts they be mouthin off about at the schools is just unfresh and dont exist. Checking something once at a hip, funky undiscernable date completely proves my point too. Also, being completely negative on a community's main focus when I spend 90% of the time talking about my heritage is totally boss and radical, man.

More like trying to revive an abandonware game lol. Well JJ2 is abandonware.

As early as 1999 on the JMMB people claimed that jj2 was dead (how many times has that sentence been said over the years?) Things are still going on and there are improvements and new stuff every year. The fact that there are so-called "dead-enders" (even if they don't even play the game anymore besides during the bash) still around disproves this myth.
And besides, whether or not the game is "dead" is irrelevant. It is always good to get new people in a game, as it does refresh the life of the community. However, the Quake related tips largely ignore other very large facets of what would help us get new players and keep them around. One of the unique things about our little jumpin jazzrabbit bunny game is the replay value. Certainly not with the default single player, of course, but with online play (as has been discussed), but JCS also plays a very, very large role. The ability to make levels and tilesets is one of the reasons I stuck around here and continue to hang around to this day. But making levels and tilesets is one thing, but people who design them need to know that others are interested in it as well. The point I'm trying to make? More of the active players need to be active on J2O's downloads section reviewing stuff people upload and giving useful suggestions to new players that will make them want to stay and continue to participate. Sure, plenty of it is and will be awful. That doesn't mean they aren't welcome or should be ignored. Simply paying attention and showing them that their work is being experienced keeps them interested.

But it's boring. This is a game, not a job ;[. Sure there are people who like it, let them review.

reason why not many people play JJ2 online and it's pretty dead because this game is not a multiplayer online game. It's just some single player platform game with TCP/IP feature. You shouldn't view these as online games or multiplayer online games. These games are just for the joy of making you entertained.

Plenty of oldskool games have network, IPX and TCP/IP features. They were just additions to the game to make it more complete. yea they kinda have multiplayer online play. not really though. get it?
You also have to remember these games are just arcade games. They have to have a variety of cool features to keep the player entertained.

Yeah because if a game has multiplayer support and that part of the game is still roughly as popular as 9 years ago that means the game has no multiplayer.
What the hell. JJ2 Multiplayer still has a steady amount of players. New levels for it come out weekly. Recently a patch was released that was primarily focused on multiplayer. The amount of battle levels (one of the many multiplayer game modes) uploaded to J2O alone is more than the amount of single player levels uploaded to J2O in total. It is clear to everyone but a complete moron that the multiplayer part of JJ2 is more active than the singleplayer part. But sure, JJ2 doesn't really have multiplayer. Whatever floats your boat. |

![]() So when logic blows your hysteria-proclaimation out of the water, you claim JJ2 has no multiplayer? Real good argument, genius. |

Well, one thing is right. More people play JJ2 singleplayer. Most don't even care about the multiplayer. I do not know anyone in real life playing JJ2 online (except me), but I do know some people who play it, and a LOT of people who used to play it. Most never heared of the multiplayer and the rest didn't try it.
But really what Bboy said is crap.

The thing is, there are a lot of people who play JJ2 (solely) as an online multiplayer game. There are tournaments regularly for JJ2 as an online multiplayer game. These facts are indisputable.
Also, all firefighters are heros to me. They risk their lives for the safety of others; what more could you ask?

The thing is, the bonus levels in JJ1 make up a minimal portion of the game. The Multiplayer portion of JJ2 has a presence just as large as the Single Player portion, and is made substantially larger when you factor in user-made levels; I believe Stijn said that the ammount of uploaded battle levels alone far outweigh the single player uploads. Now factor into that CTF, Races, Hotels, Treasure, and a host of other custom gametypes and the SP portion of JJ2 looks more like UT2004's single player campaign.
Even if you try to refute this with half-baked logic and unrelated analogies about jobs, you can't deny the fact that the multiplayer portion of JJ2 receives the most attention and you'd have to be a complete and utter idiot to not call it a multiplayer game or to deny the fact that it has a thriving multiplayer scene made up of various subcultures (The hardcore CTF fanatics, Clanwar Afficinados, the Polish etc.) that all play the game throughout the day seven days a week. Plus, I have been loosely keeping track of Quake and JJ2 players on various times of the day More people would start taking you seriously if you back up what you're saying with cold, hard evidence instead of this baseless, illogical fluff. Of if you actually took part in the Game-related part of the community instead of showing up making claims that barely anyone who actually plays the game agrees with. |

How about this: A game that is "Single Player only" DOES NOT HAVE NETWORK, IPX AND TCP/IP CODING IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Quote:

I am quite impressed by Jazz2 (My favourite Game ever) is holding up.
22 people on at once is great, seeing as Unreal Tournament 3 had 103 people last time I played, and its fairly new. Along with that, the number of people who like this game is greater than you think. I am the only person I know who participates in Jazz community and such, but I know 10+ other people addicted to this game, Just from conversations with random people. |

You should direct them to this website! There's a lot of stuff you can get for this game even if you're not into online play. Maybe they will even wind up making their own levels. JCS has to be one of the easiest editors I have ever used.
