eigus' music stuff
so yeah, i guess i'll show my tracks here. would've posted two right now but one doesn't have vocals yet and it isn't mastered. they're both electrohouse (switched to it from anthem trance lately) so if you don't like 'boom boom music -_-' then don't say it sucks because it's in a style you hate
Get the first track here.

do you really limit yourself to a genre
|

yes

I don't like boom-boom music. Where's the SOUL in this MAN!?
Edit: The sample that kicks in at 0:45 is just plain whack... and I mean that in a negative way. It sounds like downsampled steeldrums and kills the ambience it had going. Edit2: On the other hand, at 1:31, the buzzing sound makes up for it.... Edit3: ... nah it doesn't, still annoys me.

Oh and the outro is =(
Edit: Definitely needs more work, but it's a nice tune, I guess... Edit 2: It's probably just not my thing, ya know? I play guitar on the beach, sue me.

The beginning is too plain and lasts too long. I know it's supposed to be a house track, but make sure it's catchy or people will skip it...

I don't think you quite understand the concept of DJ'ing?
|
Sep 17, 2008, 12:24 PM | |
Well, intros exist so the DJ can make smooth transitions imo
|

Ok, so it works well with DJing, but for listening at home it doesn't, which is my standpoint.

That's why radio edits exist

Try Savefile.com, it holds the track for about a month since its last download if I remember well.

Bah, so I didn't make a song about swiss watches. :(
Anyway I need to put some more life into this topic, now with something better than that faxing berlin crap. Those are mostly unfinished tracks, but whatever :P "Forest" (working title? :P) - some soundtracky, epic-ish, broken stuff. Unfinished, like most off my stuff. "ABC" - yet another song with a crappy title. This time it's a full-fledged techno (no, not to be confused with commercial dance called "techno" by some, this is more like detroit) track with some banging drums. 320kbps. "Bass Bee" - unfinished UK hardcore track, probably my best work so far. "Allah's Gasoline" - Stijn and Erik probably know this (if they remember it), as it was orginally made to be released on Erik's and Nielsje's techno&dnb netlabel. Arabic drum'n'bass. 3 min or so, 320kbps. I'd improve this, but lately my DAW likes to crash on me, so I'll try to fix it and improve the track later. One more track coming soon.

ABC actually sounds like a solid techno track lol except the hihat sounds like a butt
|
Nov 10, 2009, 08:52 AM | |
I can change it then ;P it was actually going to be the first in a series, the second one being DEF, then GHI, JKL, MNO, etc.
"Cliche Evil Theme #3128951938" - a short (probably unfinished, but I don't remember) ambientish classic-ish piece with lotsa organs and an ominous atmosphere. Pretty cliche. ^D "Arguru" (Eigus remix) - remix of a Deadmau5 track. I tried sending it to mau5, but got no reply. Guess I'm not good enough yet :P More to come.

I could try uploading this on Zippyshare, which has a built-in player (however, the quality on it makes the track sound worse than on Winamp/Foobar/Media Player, so I still reccomend downloading.)
Here's the first three (Allah's Gasoline will be soon up, and the other ones too, so check this post for more): forest abc bass bee

boemboemmuziek -__-'. anyway i guess they are nice, even most are totally not my kind of genre. especially bass bee which you find your best work. it may be just me but all tracks show off way good samples, but i am not that fond of how you composed some. it doesn't sound very genius if you get what i mean. when bass bee's melody start it sounds a bit out of place to me, most notes don't seem to belong to it's 'notesort'.
(or whatever it's called). or it's just the boomboomgenre. whatever, they are still quite nice :-D. i do like forest a lot tough(!). but would be more epic if it had more.
