Based on snz' thread yes, but this is for the opposite side of JJ2: online play. Although this sort of thread has (probably) been many times done before, I'm just interested to see what people would think now.
I suggest making two lists: one for the best players out of those who are active right now, and one for the best players of all time. |

Ah, back when I was young, Bobby was considered practically unbeatable, and his losing to iCeD once was actually worthy of a J2O newspost. Don't think there's such an uncontested domination right now, though I haven't really been following competitive play closely.

well, sort of a small list then (in no particular order)
Gry, Faw, SJ, Warrior, Czech and SR from those who are active now.. Gry, SJ, FS, DizZy, iCeD, TS, Sal, SkulL, Snooze and *more* for when it comes to all time. (Can I have my 10 euros now for putting you first in both lists, Gry?) |

![]() I suppose Viv, Faw, Veg, Gry, Warrior (and probably some others) are the hardest to beat these days. Including the old days, I'd have to add Dizzy, IceD, Spotty, Super Saiyan, Turtleslayer, Boarder and a whole bunch of others who don't come to mind right now.

My favourites are (on playing style):
1) FireSworD - Purely based on offensive playing style and skill. 2) Grytolle - Always a great player, ranging from great tactics, to good abilities, to great timing. 3) CzEcH - VERY offensive, and I really like the small tricks CzEcH surprises people with. 4) Superjazz - Really good team-player, quite a really good duellist. 5) Napoleon - Always good at making the kills, making the scores, and whatnot. 6) Warrior - Pretty threatening as a player, pretty much the same description as Napo. 7) SkulL - Was always really good to have as a partner and would excel on his own. I barely remember how good he was but I remember liking how he plays a lot. 8) Vegito - Probably should be higher, but I prefer other playing styles. Still exceptional. 9) Darksonic - Moreorless an ideal partner in 3v3s, good at scoring. 10) Craig David - Yeah. Probably misordered/forgot people. Oh well. |

Rep was pretty good, but probably a bit hard to judge since he almost always lagged like there was no tomorrow, making him exceptionally tough or weak in many games.

![]() (And as said, the list was just in a random order, too :P) He was what "offensive" gave its meaning at JJ2 basically. That guy *really* played so extremely offensive and overpowered players mostly. Heh. Basically like Czech, just a bit better still though. |

I think everybody has forgot a couple of legendary players. Like me
1) UrbsGpW - pretty decent team playa 2)Dizzy 3) Flea 4)Iced 5)sexybabewhohatesmygutsakagummibearGpW 6)Gry - pwng omfg, beast motha(-)(-)(-)(-)in playa should be nr 1, but im there 7)Vegito - read above 8)SJ - 2nd beast team playa, I pwn him howevah 9)ChavrashGpW - too cocky for his own good, but a good finisher and the official deity (god) of ZAITOX 10)Rep - the ultimate mofo, enigma pointed out his lag problems already, so why im repeating them is beyond me 11) enigma - well this mofo is an itneresting one. gr8 teamplaya, gr8 guy, i hate the fact we like the same levels and he usually gets better score in most of them. I would say he has the best combo between being nice and playing good in the whole community. there it's official, out of the people who actually matter, which is the people i listed, he is by far the least douchiest of them(us) all. He roxx. really. 12)cell - omfg, i luv his levels. he's the best guy for 2v2's. not just cuz he plays gr8 in a team, but beacuse this mofo got taste know wha i'm sayin? if ur gonna have a levelvote u better bring this n**** along. he'll come up with a level u havent seen in ages... or ever. and then it'll be so original that u and him will beat the most well oilde duelling machine out there because of quickly grasping the logic of the level. a great levelmaker understands levels and all the neat tricks. 13) shadow gpw - he's my clanleader, ergo he has to be on the list, right? right. 14)disguise gpw - he's a legend, he has to be on the list 15) CB - a friggin machine of a teamplaya and a dictator who should inspire us all. 16) hehe u didn't make the list, in ur faces... 17) unhit is pretty nice as well. a german and a metalhead. definitely a bonus. TF is made out of good people. them's the bible belt folks of this here community. good people. true jazzers. values and stuff. m'kay?

By skill, I'd have to say FireSworD. And then, remembering the frustrating times when I played against him, I'd have to continue and type ajigaafjhaf9g fnxldth 0pgijhar-gjasg-a sjga-rejfdsfxkgjmsre[t jsfklgmxfyp[g0jkdafasdhfdas-hg-g. On a less emotional note, he is also nice.

ok 1st thing is 1st supajazz, you cant have a top 10 without Bobby. I mean, I'd add some other oldies, but I guess that's just - we'll never trully know, because as in sports, players come and players go and you can't compare different generations.
Bobby and a couple of DL'ers along with a couple of GpW'ers (and KK-ers come to mind) would duke it out with the new wave of players... but there is no real possible comparison. That being said, Bobby has got to be on every list. Like somebody said, when he got beat, threads were made. Iced and Flea pwnt CTF but bobby was overall numero 1 without any doubt. Whereas today the most constant duo would be Gry and Veg. Add SJ and you get todays top three over a period of the last couple of years (I'm not saying the situation right NOW is the same). While reminiscing over the good old days another clan came to mind Killer Kings. Their leader Athlon KK pwnt. He came after players like Bobby, Gummi and Iced had maybe already got a bit bored with JJ2 and started playing a bit less. I think he managed a 10-7 game against bobby and we were all in awe of his skill. I think the best i got against gummi was 10-1. Hell maybe it was even 10-0. Funny though, I mainly knew her from the GpW irc channel and I always made fun of her and I was pretty certain I could pwn most players out there. But then again my opponents were Newspaz and Shadow ![]() Every generation has great players. In these past 5 years a lot of greats sprang up. I remeber GryBC. He started showing up on the screens before jj2wc2. After jj2wc1 I was in the best form in my life. Me and chav played 2v2's like crazy and god did we own. But after new year I had less and less time for jj2. its amazing what kind of a difference one or two 2v2's a day more or less can make in one's form. GryBC was a n00b in january. And as my form started it's freefall stage due to my limited activity (and sadly due to my natural limitations), this Balkan Clanmember started his rise to power, fame (and fortune ![]() A player the likes jj2 had not seen in quite some time was born out of scratch in less than 6 months. And when he reached half his potential he was better than I ever was. You know who that playa was? GrytolleCC. My balkan brotha ![]() Seriously SJ, do add bobby (gummi, iced, flea etc.). EDIT: I would agree with the top 10 ever list, if it were called top 10 in the past 3-5 years.

Pretty hard to judge, since I never played a single duel vs Bob/IceD.
With Flea I played once a year ago, but obviously he was much rustier then, than in early days. Also Gummi could play well only in a few levels (B1/DW/JAIL basically.) Not kinda enough for me. Also hard to compare her to the next generation. ;P And since Grytolle barely duels, I didn't add him. I could have made a teamplayer list separately though.

I'm don't know too much about the current standings, so I'm basing my list on what I personally experienced (mostly in clanwars) between 1999 and 2006. The list is somewhat in chronological order; of when I believe people attained their 'peaks'. Note that I've never really been into duels myself so my list is *mostly* teamplay based (the exceptions probably are FireSworD, BunnyElmer and Vegito, whom I included mainly for their dueling skills).
- Dizzy: for reasons already stated by Urbs, although I never got the pleasure of playing a clanwar against DL or DM when he was at his peak. - FireSworD: every time I played against him in the old days, he was a very powerful opponent. Granted of course, that he had some decent teammates on his side, because not everyone knows how to adapt to his playstyle. But in duels, his strength was indisputable. - CelL: when FoR beat CC in 2003, I remember him as being the strongest player on their team. In subsequent 2vs2s/3vs3s in the months thereafter, he remained a strong player. - BunnyElmer/Anakin: in the few years before we permanently 'joined forces' in 2004, I've always considered him to my biggest rival (in a friendly way) when it came to competitive play and leading a clan in general. He truly left an impression on me, even though few would remember him today. One of the "Battle1 legends". - Grytolle, Vegito and myself: obviously, this is based on our performance in JJ2WC2 in 2005. I don't think any other team has ever put so much effort into preparing for a tournament as us. We really got *a lot* better in a relatively short amount of time, and finally put our clan on the map. I know it may sound arrogant that I included myself here, but I honestly don't think I contributed any less to our victories than my teammates. - Superjazz/Vivando: in the time to come after JJ2WC2, the new clan ![]() I'm not sure who else should be on this list, so I'm leaving #9 and #10 open for now. I'll give it some more thought. Some candidates are Maverick, Skull, Snooze, Salamander, Urbs (because he wants it so much ![]()
