Ok, so for all generations I figured out how to play cooperative mode with another person(s) online. It's the instruction "for dummies" so if you know some of those things, just scroll through them.
1st: Install Hamachi or sit in one LAN (you'll find many instructions all over the Internet) 2nd: Install JJ2 plus (you'll find it on this forum or via google) You can install it just on the server but I'll recommend you to install on all games, clients also. If you don't, clients f. ex. won't loose health on cooperation when attacked by enemies. 3rd: Run game on both (all?) computers 4th: Click New game on the server (the computer that hosts the game) 5th: Click Party mode -> Local network TCP -> Start a new game 6th: Whatever you'll do here it won't matter, just hit done 7th: Choose 1 player and setup your rabbit 8th: Start the game Now server is set, run the game on all clients. 1st: New game -> Party mode -> Local network TCP -> Join another game, choose 1 player and setup your rabbit. 2nd: Hit "Start Game" and type your server's IP on the keyboard (just type it) and hit Enter If you don't know your IP, you'll find instruction at the end of this text. 3rd: Wait for client to connect. Congratulations! You've just made it to play together. But you're now at the battle mode, so here is what you need to do to play cooperation on the normal game campaign: At the server game: 1st. Hit T 2nd. Type "gamemode coop" (without quotes of course) Now you're no longer in battle mode so you can't fight with other players 3rd. Hit T 4th. (The Secret Files) Type "/c easter1.j2l" (Regular game) Type "/c Castle1.j2l" For all levels list look here: www-dot-jazz2online-dot-com/wiki/Jazz+Jackrabbit+2%3A+Quotes# 5th. You can play now! Enjoy it, but before you do, read further. Unfortunately after finishing one chapter, you won't be able to automatically switch to another (you've got to do it "by hand") but I have a solution for this also. Open the game directory (on the server) and locate the file LevelList.ini Find [SinglePlayer] section (it is inside the file). Paste the following text below (this is for the basic campaign, not the secret files): 001=Trainer.j2l 002=Castle1.j2l 003=Castle1n.j2l 004=Carrot1.j2l 005=Carrot1n.j2l 006=Labrat1.j2l 007=Labrat3.j2l 008=Labrat2.j2l 009=Colon1.j2l 010=Colon2.j2l 011=Psych1.j2l 012=Psych2.j2l 013=Beach.j2l 014=Beach2.j2l 015=Diam1.j2l 016=Diam3.j2l 017=Tube1.j2l 018=Tube2.j2l 019=Tube3.j2l 020=Medivo1.j2l 021=Garglair.j2l 022=Medivo2.j2l 023=Jung1.j2l 024=Jung2.j2l 025=Hell.j2l 026=Hell2.j2l 027=Damn.j2l 028=Damn2.j2l If you want to get other campaigns in the same way, there are level files inside game directory. Just paste their names into the [SinglePlayer] section and that's it. Go back to the game. 1st. Hit "T" on your keyboard 2nd. "T" -> Type "/levellist off" - Enter 3rd. "T" -> Type "/levellist on" - Enter 4th. "T" -> Type "/c" - Enter 5th. That's it! Sometimes it happens that someone has the problem with graphics (especially if doesn't have JJ2+ installed). If it will happen, hit "T", type "/r", press Enter. Have fun! How to find your IP address: 1. IP on Local Area Network: hit WindowsButton+r, type "cmd", hit Enter, type "ipconfig", hit Enter. You'll see few lines of text -> scroll through them and find text that looks similar to: 192.168.1.4 it may look different but it's four groups of three numbers at most splitted by dots, ending with digit other than "0" or "1" (OTHER!). 2. IP on Hamachi: Open Hamachi and read the IP over the list of your networks (four groups of three numbers at most), it looks similar to 5.115.20.12 |
