Jazz Jackrabbit 1 question
Hi guys,
I couldn't find anywhere else to post this question, so forgive me if it's where it shouldn't be. I was reading the Wikipedia article on Jazz Jackrabbit 1 earlier and was wondering about some information under "Release chronology". Firstly, it claims an "Xmas Edition" floppy disk version update of Jazz was released featuring Holidaius (so I can only assume they're referring to Holiday Hare 1994) that "features seven levels and two bonus levels". However, Holiday Hare 94 only has 3 levels, 2 bonus levels, and 1 secret level. Is this information correct? Are they referring to something else? Secondly, it also claims another Christmas version "Holiday Hare" was released in 1995 (so I can only assume they're referring to Holiday Hare 1995) that has "first episode levels taken from the shareware and redesigned to feature Christmas-themed content". Do they mean Turtle Terror levels? If so, I've never seen them. As far as I know, Holiday Hare 95 has completely new content. Could a Jazz expert clarify these things for me? It'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Duke |

I was going to guess that the HH95 entry referred to the shareware release as containing both the original shareware content (Turtle Terror) and Bloxonius/Candion, but they break HH95 into separate commercial and shareware releases, so no, I have no idea. All your objections look sound.
Looking further at the release chronology, now I'm curious about this Mac version of JJ1... |

*kinda goes a bit off topic* Wikipedia isn't always a reliable source of info, any user can edit it, in a JJ3 article on wikipedia, it said there were lost voiceclips of Jazz saying vulgar words...where did that come from anyway?

Yeah, I was just looking for someone more in tune with the particulars of our green friend to corroborate or deny what I'd read. I vaguely remember playing the first level in Jazz 1 with a Christmas theme when I was younger, but it's more likely that reading the article put the idea in my head.

Djazz hosted a server with some of the rare JJ3 sounds. They did swear. However the best sound was "go for a swim".
