Anubis? There are no decent active players from your homeland? you've got to be kidding me.
Although for the record, I don't mind if you play for Germany. you do live there, so if they'll take you, fair game imo. I mean it's not like France hasn't recruited half of africa to play for them. And Italy often gets some Italian Argentinians who play for them etc..

The funny thing is that a lot of decent players are trying to claim a spot in this tourney.
What everyone should keep in mind is that its about representing your country. It is about honour. If there are too few people to represent a country then it should be possible to merge 2 countries, like serbia an montrenegro once did. It is not about fitting the best players into the tournament, but fitting the best players into their country, which could exclude some good players.

They try to side with the players they like/love/think they'll pwn with them. We gain nothing by siding with Urbs,King and Snake,we're just giving them a fair opportunity to play...I have said this so many times: NO RANDOM ALLIANCES,PLEASE. If you are not living in that country,if you are not from it or if you haven't been the part of a same country in the last 50 years (yes),then don't request to play for it.

So you're basically saying that except for Yugoslavia (you), the Soviet Union (essentially Russia + chillax) and Czechoslowakia (do we even have jj2ers from Slovakia?), no one's allowed to ally? Yes, that does sound like giving people a fair opportunity to play ;-P
Just saying, non-random (and preferably non-pointless) alliances are harder to make in the jj2 world than you'd think ![]()

Well actually, some other alliances should be allowed but ONLY in extreme cases. Ric,maybe you could play for us,but that'd be too much. Ally with someone else? (I'd allow that because he'd like to play)

I'd prefer a 3v3 as well.
In fact I could play for Ireland cause I do possess an Irish PPS. Thats the Irish personal number. Gry however studies in Belgium and doesn't have a Belgian personal number I think? Yet again, Gry lives in Belgium for a long time already and speaks Dutch perfectly. If anything he should have had the possibility for a Belgian personal number before I should have had in Ireland. Still, I worked in Ireland and he studies, major difference. Summary? skip this post its boring ![]() |

well if you ask me, this thing will only work if some1 gives it a kickstart like it happened with jj2wc.
Start the sign-ups and solve the problems as we go along. Rep seems the right guy for the job and we could just use the jj2wc crew and mby even the jj2wc page. As for the problems, well, here I mean mostly the people who would play but who don't have enough team mates. I don't think only some historical states should count, IMO if the ohter participants agree random alliances should be possible. (or at least add one team europe, or team world, or both - pretty good solution imo...). We should have a "no-overlap" rule (maybe), where players from a country participating (like Romania) can't play for another team. But even here, if a coutry like poland, which has so many players, has one or two players who are willing to play or be substitutes in team europe, I wouldn't be against it. I mean, let people play if they wan't. (and if the other teams agree). But otherwise, a no-overlap rule would work. If one country plays its players can't play for any other country. That gives a chance for us solo players to participate. And b4 everybody gets pissed off, think about it, its not like we'd make a dream team here. The persons who showed interests for alliances would make a formidable opponent, but we can all agree that in current form, the favourites are known and if such an alliance would be somebody, so be it, its just a game... And if people don't bitch (and you know they will) things should run ok. jj2wc forrmat, mby shorter in the final rounds (bst out of 3 not best out of 5). If a country has enough players those players can't play for team europe and/or world, otherwise don't bitch and let the rest of us play, its not like any1 can compete with NL, FIN, POL or RO and Serbia (if hordy plays). As for any other exceptions, they can be discussed as we go along. OH and, if I play for any team (world, europe, yugoslavia, roman empire etc), I don't have time to train sry ![]() ![]() As for the levels, well I always prefered big pools, cuz is harder to traiin all levels and most people will find their favourite level in the pool. I know most people hate NA, but I would keep the original jj2wc pool, adding ladderpool levels (both BB levels at least, and distopia to top it off). Make the teams play their games each week, designate teamleaders etc.. We can get the show on the road in 1 week or 14 days... That is if people won't go flailing around how unfair everything is, and how they think 20 min rounds are too short and how they prefer 21 min rounds and how zaitox stinks and they'll never play there and what's up with stupid bblair anyway I hate it m'kay? That's why it's good to have rep around, he just couldn't care less about all the people whining ![]()

I don't think multi-teams from the same country would fit. Let's have an example that there is a country with 2 teams and the other one wins the whole cup. Meanwhile in the other team: "Yay, our country won the cup but we still lost." Meaning that they're like left out from the celebration although they shouldn't.
Besides there really cannot be too many players in a single country in this game. ![]()

I would prefer a normal 3v3 tournament above a national tournament.. I guess I wasn't the only one who said that. All these thoughts about random alliances kind of put me off, just go for a normal 3v3 tournament then, it's probably a bit harder to organize but definitely more fun imo
![]() If you're scared of overpowered teams, rank each player (rank A, B and C) and put one of each together ![]() Ah, and perhaps a rank D, cause 4 players a team would definitely be a must. |

Well thats a posibility, but I wouldnt mind a national tournamnt with 2 supranational entities (world, EU).
But sure, random 3v3 works fine for me as well.

thing is, these things are usually always a bit half-assed.
We mainly see who's interested in this tourney. So we can adapt as we go along.
