Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Second Season

I was thinking to create a JJ2 game.
I don't have a lot of stuff to say but, there will be a lot of characters to play...
Jazz
Spaz (Unlocked when defeated him when he's evil)
Lori (Beat the 1# boss)
Dogry (Unlocked when defeated him when he's evil)
Rocki (Unlocked when defeated her when she's evil)

Thinking of more...

The story:
The family of Jackrabbit were in their mansion, suddenly the asteroid crushed and everyone went apart. Jazz lands in the forest, but, where did everybody alse landed?
Jazz goes trough obstacles and enemies to find them. Some turned evil by the mysterious person.

Well that's it and sorry for my english...

Cool.

What game engine will you be using? Will you be using sprites from the original games?

Interesting concept, although I have 3 questions:
1. Will it be 2D or 3D?
2. Will you use an existing engine or make your own?
And 3. If you're using an existing engine(And have chosen which one), will it be compatible with Linux?

1. It will be 2D
1.5. It will use existing sprites with bits changed
2. I'll try to copy the existing engine and change it a bit
3. Maybe... Maybe... I'll try to make it compatible with Linux

I thought you meant the movement engine not the Source Code :P
I'll make my own jj2 engine and quite similar movement engine.

I wonder what came of this project. They haven't posted anything since...

It would be interesting to chronicle all of the attempts to make a Jazz Jackrabbit successor.
