Oh wow... I'm glad one of my random J2O visits occurred after this was posted but before the auction(s) is(/are) over. Definitely going to be doing some nostalgia-inspired bidding on these.

Ever since Nick showed his face, a whole bunch of oldies are ending their lurking spree! These forums suddenly feel more cozy.

And hi Ninja and Ice!

I'd also be interested, if I can scrounge some money together. The Medivo gargoyles in particular caught my interest, do you have any other tileset-specific art?

I just love you all so much ;-;

Nick, not to be a pest, but any thoughts when you might start said auction(s)?

This thread hasn't been replied to in nearly three weeks.. is it not going to happen? I have some money. I would bid feverishly.

Nick, if you put these up for auction as one set, I would bid a reasonably silly amount for them. Putting them up in smaller sets probably isn't worth the hassle if you're busy moving.

I do echo the sentiment that all of the images is too many, though.. if I won, I'd only frame and display a couple favourites. But instead of chucking the rest into a box in the garage, I'd post them to one of the site administrators to let them auction them off one by one (if any were interested) to raise some money and awareness for the site/community. Just an idea, in case Nick only wants to auction them in bulk.

Yup, still quite interested here.

If you need further invective, Nick, know that while I'd probably only want one drawing, I'd readily pay $75 or more for it. This is original art! And, my childhood. (:

Yeah... I'd love to see some new artwork too. I mean, a redesign of the main characters... that would be great!

Btw, what happened? Did anybody win the auction?

Guys...

He hasn't been on here since September 29th. If the auction started, he'd probably say so. The lack of response isn't because he thinks not enough people are interested, he's probably just busy.

Yes, peoples plans can become overdue. It happens a lot.

You really think someone would make the effort to fake that hard? Hell, he even posted this: http://imgur.com/gallery/4TdwN/new

Plus, his twitter hasn't been updated since the same date either, which also explains he's been away from the internet for a while.

Congrats for being the "Are we there yet?" person of J2O.

Treylina, although you're right, that was a bit harsh(Mostly just that last part).

Primpy; if a thread has been dead for a while, you should only revive it if you have something to add. It's okay to do a random necro a couple of times if you're new(Everyone does this when they've just joined a forum), but in most cases other than that(And a few including that if it goes on for a while), necro posts are a bit annoying.

(Although, sometimes necro posts can be pretty funny/entertaining/interesting. It's very situational, but in most cases, it's not a good idea)

*sigh* Ok, I am sorry. I've seen LOTS of people pretending to benother people, that's why I wish to be informed. Also sorry for necroposting. I just joined the community 2-3 months ago. Yes. I am a newbie here, but I played JJ since I was a kiddo. Never thought of joining a community.

I've actually been curious about what happened to this as well, so I appreciate the necro :P.

Good to know it might be related to Nick's recent move.

His online accounts (as said before) are pretty much dead. Most likely he is to busy with getting things done there.

I missed you all, too! <3

I'd love to join in the bidding if it ever happens :3! I also want to say that splitting the pile into single images for the most popular pictures & small lots for thematically similar drawings (Medivo tileset art, enemy sheets, etc) would probably work best!

There's a lot of players named Ninja in JJ2. It may have actually been NinjaCC.

Has there been any updates on artwork auction? Did it actually take place or Nick just got busy and forgot about it all?

Is it to late to do so? If not...

Unhappy

So I've asked Nick about the artwork on twitter and here's what he had to say:
Quote:
Hey, unfortunately due to a terrible ordeal I had gone through during that time, much of the work was destroyed. :-(
There's still a chance that not all of the work is gone, but for a JJ series fan that's very sad news.

Here's a cleaned up version of one the pics Nick uploaded earlier in the thread. I basically just messed with the levels filter in GIMP, and centred it in the image, but I think it looks pretty nice.
I'm trying to do a similar thing to some of the other images, but unfortunately the shakiness makes it hard to isolate the actual art from the shakiness.
