is there a way to make a tileset that uses 256 colors without the 'remap' option checked? the best i get is 156 or somethin

I thought it was 161 colours (256 minus the 95 fixed colours)? And by the way, smart colour reducing (Paint Shop Pro has some nice routines, some other programs as well) is the key to success there
