I'm still rather undecided about this. I can do the 21st, however like Fquist said, themepark escapades are expensive.
So, you can put me in, but I'm still not sure about it. And if anyone wonders about Haze, he's going to be in LA for a while, so he can't be here. |

Ok, list updated:
JelZe (duh) Esme (bigger duh) Slayo (surprise?) Vegito Electric Enigma FQuist Goldy + mirrow + Toxicbunny (if accomodated) ? DrJones ? Newspaz If there's any objection about the prices, I'm willing to pay for those who can't. Just keep in mind I'd like to see the money back by next meeting ![]() - JelZe GoldRabbit =:3 Last edited by FQuist; Aug 11, 2005 at 08:14 AM. Reason: Added Newspaz |

It's not just ability to pay, it's the expensiveness in general. Oh well.
Too bad about Haze.. would've been fun to have him. What does the + sign in front of a name mean? Can I edit the list if I know more people who are (maybe) coming? What about if a front group comes at 10 am, and are back at the station at noon?

Well, I was doubting before. But consider me to be there.
And if I won't be able to make it in the end. I'll inform JelZe, Esmeralda or FQuist the day before. If you are going to need to make reservations for anything, just consider me to be there, and I'll pay for the damage if things won't work out. |

I don't know, really.. will have to think about that. Alternatively, maybe (don't know if this is a good idea) we can assemble in the theme park *and* the station, so that some people can come earlier. I'll be away until the 19th so it'll be short notice.. so it's something the others/you will have to decide on, wether to group at the station and do something like find a place to have a drink or wether to meet in the park so that some can come earlier so that the day isn't so awfully short.

Personally, I'd like to meet up with at least one person at the station who knows which bus to take and where to get off. I'm afraid I'll probably get lost if I try that by myself.

I'll be there. ;P
and.. oh.. well.. I agree with noon (12 am right? ;-P) @ Enig. I think lots of jj2ers will be there at that time. if not, I'll just be there =O its rather easy though. ...AND you dont need a bus card. Some info: the bus and Walibi World will cost 25 euro if you buy your ticket in the bus itself. that means its 5 euro cheaper than normal ;-P |

"We picked a date: August 21st. Anyone against it (if we can do it anyway?)"
Walibi World IS in the middle of the netherlands, slagharen isn't. ![]() The trip to slagharen will probably cost more for lots of people, so it doesn't really matter if we go to slagharen or walibi world. walibi world has more rollercoasters, I think =P So I'd prefer that. "*Cough* I'm coming, if somebody can give me accomodation." - Toxic Bunny. anyone? ;-P |

yeah i got a problem against it why do we all of a sudden switch date that really sucks for some people cause the date of the meeting was around agaust the 15th but it really sucks if people all of a sudden switch the date how hard do you think its for people that are maybe working again on the 22th

Shaney, shaney, shaney...
If only you looked at the topic a little more often, the new date was set a week ago! I wouldn't call that sudden... Besides, Slayo asked us to organize it, and changes can happen. Walibi World is nicely in the middle of Holland, Slagharen is almost at the German border! That may be closer to you, but not for the most of us. It is cheaper tho... Also, if you keep harassing people like you did with vegito, then don't bother showing up. Here's the updated list: JelZe (duh) Esme (bigger duh) Slayo (surprise?) Slayo's Girlfriend Vegito Electric Enigma FQuist Goldy mirrow Toxicbunny (if accomodated) Newspaz Shadow Here's an idea for the assembly: those who can (only) come really early (like 2 hours) are free to go to the park ahead of us. However, we do like to be informed beforehand so we won't idly wait for those who are already at the park. If you arrive at around 11:30 am, please wait at the station. People coming solely by bus can go directly to the park. How does that sound? - JelZe GoldRabbit =:3 |
Aug 13, 2005, 08:18 AM | |
(Shaney, I only try to DISCUSS it, like you asked in the post. not to PA you or what.)
Its fine with me. I'll be at the station though. and.. the bus trip to walibi world takes a while.. around 30 minuts. so... if the people who already are in the park, go to the exit of the park around 12:30, so we meet them there? |
Aug 13, 2005, 09:28 AM | |
you see i dont like the fact that the date is postponed i dont like that cause A the date was agreed about a month ago B what about others that were setting travels to the first planned dates what do you people think everyone can just come another date i dont like that fact i dont care if it weas postponed a month ago it should never in the first place been postponed

If nobody else offers me somewhere to stay, I'll be staying at Frank's. But that's really a last resort, so any offers would be nice.
Shaney, the date chosen is the last day of the week we've had planned for aaaaages. |
Aug 15, 2005, 10:35 AM | |
Ok, everything's settled now: Walibi World it is, waiting at Station Harderwijk (or the park for the really early ones), the 21st of August at noon. Which leaves the question: what will we do for lunch? Any suggestions?
- JelZe GoldRabbit =:3 |
Aug 15, 2005, 12:31 PM | |
uh, lets eat something in walibi world itself? ;-O
..or, all take your own bread with you >D (its better if the early ones wait in the park at 12:30, because the bus trip to walibi world takes 30 minuts for sure.) Edit: Dx will probably join this meeting too. Last edited by Vegito; Aug 16, 2005 at 04:38 AM. |

There's one more thing I need to know: is there any specific point in the station where we're going to meet each other (you know, like the Free Record Shop we used in Den Haag last year)? It doesn't look like there's going to be that many of us at the station, so it would be hard to wander around aimlessly until we bump into each other.
(as for the date: it never changed, did it? As far as I can tell, August 21 is in the week August 15-21 we agreed upon in the beginning)

Mhhh...i wish i could go (i visited the 2002 and two 2003 meetings as well) but that would cause a lot of discussion with my gf, i guess (like, why do you drive 230 km at a cost of around 80 EUR + park entry to visit a few people that you know hardly from an old computer game).
I really remember our funny canoe trip and two theme park meetings (Efteling and Movie World). Was a lot of fun with you guys!! If something changes/happens in my gf's plans that makes it possible for me to come, i will do!! Promised! |

Just come! It would be fun, Aiko

I know from experience that a full day in Walibi World/Ex-Six Flags can be a little long, so even though I could be there as early as I wish, I'm gonna be there at the arranged meeting time; noon.
About lunch, food in the park itself is known to be somewhat expensive, but if thats ok with everyone then im fine with that. Bringing lunch isnt such a bad idea either.

About lunch, I'm not going to buy much food in the park. I doubt we can stand Walibi World all day anyways. I do not know if Esmeralda and Jelle have something planned about how the day progresses, so I can't say much, but maybe we can go to a restaurant in Harderwijk afterwards. Might have a more pleasant atmosphere than Walibi World since its food places are pretty ...commercial as far as I remember and maybe busy in its restaurants. I think maybe it would be a good idea if everyone who also like me does not want to spend much money on food during the day (unlike, for example, spending money when we eat all together, like in the mcdonalds last year, and the pancake restaurant on the canoe meeting, THAT would be fine, but I'm not going to buy snacks in Walibi World just because I did not take lunch with me) would buy some food to take and also buy something sweet for the others, if that person has mony. It can often be very cheap. You could just buy some apples, or some hot dogs to bake in the oven before going to the meeting, etc. I know that I'll take some stuff along for the others. If more people do it, we could save money we'd have spend on buying something quick at a snack tent during the day for a dinner together. Whew, that paragraph was a little long. Summary: I'd like everyone to take some food along to share, which saves everyone in costs on expensive food stalls and saves money for a restaurant together. I do think we need to do more than Walibi World if it tires too many people after a while. It would not be fun if people left the meeting after just being there for 5-6 hours just because the park got tireing, like how the beach meeting last year was pretty short because it tired people. It seems that the weather may be good, but could also be bad. Weather report says 30% chance it'll rain. If it's really bad, are there any indoor attractions at Walibi? If not, what would we do if it rained badly? Find a bowling place or something, or go anyways? It'd be a good idea for everyone to take along rainclothing and possibly umbrellas if you can fit them in your backpack. Esme, Jelle, should I make a last-minute J2O announcement about the meeting?

Added/removed some people:
JelZe (duh) Esme (bigger duh) Vegito Electric Enigma FQuist Goldy Mirrow Toxicbunny (is accomodated) Newspaz Shadow + Pyromanus + Dx + Shaney ? DrJones (probably not) ? Aiko (probably not) On another note, I think it would be cool if someone who has Jazz GBA (and a GBA) would take it along.. I don't know how many of us have seen it. I definitely haven't and would enjoy to take a look.

So, we meet up at Harderwijk Station around .. 12? Or what? All those cancellations and stuff make me confused. I'd like to get these details clear else I'll probably get lost somewhere in the train network.
