It will be removed one month after the name change, so in your case, December 16, 2004. It's mainly intended for users who have complete name changes, but it's easier to manage and more fair if everyone has to have it.

TBM: I don't think names like those would be allowed.

We don't allow custom ranks like that. You can change your custom title though, which appears under your rank.

The formerly tag is added when your account name is changed into something entirely different, so that the change won't confuse people.

Flash, keeping the formerly tag shouldn't be a problem. I added a note about it on the list so we remember.

Just a question, how long does it take to change a user name? My request to change my name to LittleFreak is older than a month now, so I started to wonder.

Is this a topic where you can change your name on JCF only? Because I want another username on J2O, but not here.
