And slay, by the way, cuts 1/3 off the target's current HP. It's the only spell we have access to now that actually deals damage.

You need a mythslayer to use slay... and I'm tired of this. Just go and read all this stuff yourself, people. It's not that hard.

Does slay work on everything or only on mythical creatures (I believe Rad once mentioned in a post that creatures are considered mythical if their history dates back pre 1600s or something, so like a dragon or a basilisk)?

It works on everything. In fact, mythslayers have no programmed bonuses against mythical things, because it would be a bit... ridiculous to go through all that work for one summon to work right.

Would've helped if there was something that said hypnotism was a once-per combat spell beforehand D=.

Oh, that. That's a property of ALL spells. It seems Radium forgot to mention that, I think because it was also a rule in the 2nd battle engine. But, anyway, it's kind of common sense that you aren't allowed to use hypnotise over and over- if you could it would be far, far to powerful. Plus, you had already seen the water elemental spell go away when you cast it. Did you think that was a special property only owned by summons?

And do you SEE a MP meter for people?
Eh, you were expected to loose horribly the first time you went into this battle.

glitching can be very useful in any moment of peril. but sadly you first need two things:
1. Uberbob and L33tz4n thinking about it at the same time 2. Two things that cannot co-exist, like encanted chains in a place where magic isn't allowed, or coming up with an answer to something whereas you need the question to it, but don't know what the question even is. Something like knowing the answer the the universe is 42, but since 42 doesn't explain much, you need to know the actual question first. so how can you know the answer? realizing this is glitching. and the thing that cannot exist disappears.

EDIT: Okay, decided to give this post more substance. Okay, we will probably lose this battle. We need a strategy. Obviously, since just hacking away won't do any good. Ever notice that the enemies have about three times the amount of HP our fighters have? Ow. So I suppose it'd be best to stay in a distance and firstly destroy the lesser of the two evils, which is, obviously, Spotty. Now, Spotty keeps healing himself, in case you noticed. A whole 15 HP last time I checked. Or maybe even his full health. So the trick is to destroy him really, really fast. And as was hinted at by a kind "staff member" before quite thoroughly, the Mythslayers ability to cut HP by a great number might come in handy. And since I suppose that it only matters for the current battle if a summon is killed ( meaning they won't die forever or cause a game over ), we should make good use of them. Which doesn't mean that we should summon all at once. Seeing the amount of HP Unfooruman has, the battle will be quite long, so it's best not to expose all possible fighters to damage right in the beginning. So, kill Spotty with magic and perhaps Shuriken ( whomever it takes ) while keeping lil' Leetzy in a corner for defense, then take on Unfooruman. Also, while I'm already at it, I think the Spotty and Unfooruman sprites suck. kbyu

hm. howbout this. when we die, if we come back to the save point, let's just kill the CD player guy before we open the door, since he really is an enemy. that way, we won't have to worry about two enemies at once.

I added the thing regarding spells only working once to the first post. Thanks Boggy.
You guys should listen to Faw. You won't beat this easily (unless you're Risp, but he's had way too much practice). And I wouldn't say this battle is completely hopeless in its current state. You don't have hypnotize anymore, but you also haven't lost anyone. And remember, as far as battles are conserned I need commands in the format "Character: Direction, direction, direction Character: direction, direction, direction (number of moves based on movement value) Spell: target". Read the first post.

That's two spells in one turn and you didn't specify where to summon.

Shuriken dramatically slices Spotty (5 damage) The Water Elemental splashes Spotty hard (5 damage) L33tz4n whips Spotty thrice (and does not "su") (3 damage) Spotty has the power! (+12 HP) the Water Elemental gets a third cut off by a sword-shaped blast of light from Unfooruman Unfooruman laughs as flashes of dark energy pummel into the Water Elemental (6 damage) the Water Elemental dies Spotty SUPERSLAPS L33tz4n. (4 damage) L33tz4n dies

Maybe Shuri could try casting Ninja Speed and move away somewhere, and then cast Haste on herself and strike back Unfooruman who will most likely follow her... Don't rely too much on this suggestion, though. @ppl

Hmm. So. We are officially screwed now. But we can still let Shuri try to find out some moves of the enemies. Unfooruman especially. I don't think Spoy has anything else up his sleeve.
So far, we know that Unfooruman has: Unsummoning 1/3 HP cut Especially the former is very dangerous. Hmm. Thus, summoning would definitely be best to be done later in the battle. At least the ones who are supposed to fight Unfooruman. I'll go study the spells we have and try to come up with effective strategies.

Upon Faw's request:
Water Elemental: Movement: 2 (normal) Attack: 5 (good) Health: 8 (low) Mythslayer: Movement: 3 (good) Attack: 4 (normal) Health: 11 (low-normal) Has one charge of Slay, a spell that reduces enemy health by one third of whatever it is currently. Note that Slay is a spell and can not be cast the same turn he is summoned in. (he lost his bonus against mythical creatures from the orginal thread, but his spell helps bring down big things while providing little assistance against small ones) Enchantresphere: Movement: 2 (normal) Attack: 4 (normal) Health: 9 (low) Has a natural magic immunity that does not count as a beneficial or negative spell effect. It no longer has its spellcasting abilities from the original thread, but the new magic immunity compensates. |
