Umm... Er... I'm...
Ok, I'll tell. The game is a bit short. Also I'm playing the same levels so much, I've almost gone to serious gaming like Halo. *Sniff*And I also can't seem to get a game server.

A simple explanation for every active player's inactivity is that autumn and spring are work periods, while winter and summer are traditionally holiday periods.

[QUOTE]You shuold get Project Controller 4 or TEC.exe, so you can host as 1.23... However, 1.23 players can't join if you host an 1.24-only level. =/
Ehy Grytolle, I'm seeing your screen, down of your post, where there are some colours for Spaz and Jazz: can you give me those colours? |
Oct 7, 2005, 07:51 AM | |
Ok, I've played today. I won a CTF game and a battle game in under 30 mins, which was fun (Spaz dies in such funny ways). It's fun just rampaging through public servers, rather than playing duels/2v2s. (See, this is why I like AYCR).

I know Jazz is not as active as a few years ago. But it's still fun (not TSF, but 1.23). And i don't think Jazz will die in these years, there are many active people on the community website, and I hear that #jj2 is very active too. The online play just lost it's power, a little bit..

![]() (it was meant to be, but there isn't really any talk about JJ2 most of the time) I agree though. Jazz won't die too fast.

Hey, ppl still play Pong.

Reasons for not playing:
1) Studying at University 2) Work 3) Social Life 4) America's Army ![]() The game really doesn't excite me anymore, and I just can't bring up the skill and motviation anymore to seriously compete in wars or tournaments. So the only real things I do right now in the business are concerning leadership ( XLM, 8-D ) and organizing (JJ2WC) and sometimes a bit leveldesign. Does that count? Oh, yeah, I love to stay around in this community. YOU GUYS ROCK! |

no proper excuse really.
i can't host and want to play the levels i make.....can someone invent some like dedicated host that i an upload my levels to, like i will be a remote admin to it or someting? i don't understand much about this stuff but it's worth a shot. |

School eats away all my time. And I'm busy with some last-minute tinkering on my episode.
However, Autumn holiday starts within a week! \o/

Well, JJ2 has JCS. That would be the biggest reason JJ is still alive. Without JCS, no custom levels and no level-exchanging community. It's some sort of game-life-support program.

Yes, I bought JJ2 in 1998 and I was losing interest in 1999, but later that year I found JCS into my JJ2 folder, I tried it, and then it was the coolest game I ever played! I downloaded much levels from Jazz2City and other Jazz2 sites when I found out that the levels where share-able. So you are right, without JCS Jazz already died for long!

I agree with you. The only real active thing from JJ2 is this forum and the online play, but there are still much new people coming every year. So Jazz will never die if this community is on the internet!

And some people (like me for example) even like the singleplayer more than multi.
