** = New Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Patch 1.25 Suggestions Bug Fixes - *PRIORITY* Fix Lori's inability to grab copters. - Maybe tune the collision detection a little so players don't get stuck in floors/walls/ceilings when going "too fast". - Give the Rocket Turtle some kind of AI for when it's not following Area IDs, even if it's basic AI a'la the Bee or Sparks enemies. *- Fix/enable the following power-ups: Fast Feet, Extra Shield Time, Purple Gem (as it is, it's just a Red Gem that's purple), TNT Crate, Rect(angle?) Gems. Improvements - Allow upward aiming for Shield-type weapons. - Either give Lori a higher jump or some way to match the highest jumping heights of Jazz and Spaz, even if it requires more speed. Lori can't access a number of routes Jazz or Spaz can as she is. - Give Lori her own Fast Fire and Blaster Power-Up graphics. - Change one of Lori's four colors so you can change her outfit color. ![]() ![]() - Also, vastly edit all of Lori's in-game sprites so Party Mode colors are shown more accurately. ![]() ![]() Possible Additions *- Devan Shell in Party Mode. He's currently missing pole, hanging, and death animations, but he seems to have everything else. Edit: Nevermind. - "Rabbit Roaster" Gun: After beating Jazz Jackrabbit 2, Jazz, Spaz, and Lori can use Devan's "Rabbit Roaster" in Single Player mode (except for Home-Cooked Levels, for "imbalance" reasons). It would pack more of a punch than the default Blaster weapon (or Spaz or Lori's default weapons) and comes equipped with built-in Auto Fire, but can't be upgraded like the other weapons, can't be fired faster than normal, and has an "overheat" meter. Events and Triggers - Revise the "Hurt" event: Make Hurt events hurt the player on ANY kind of touch as opposed to hurt only when standing on top of/inside a Hurt solid tile. Also, give the Hurt event a new toggle: "Solid". If Solid = 0, the player can fall through the Hurt tile's mask but still be hurt. (Useful for broken electrical conduits, laser beams, etc.) If "Solid = 1", the player can stand on the Hurt tile's mask, but will still be hurt. (Useful for spikes, lava, etc.) Lastly, maybe add a "Hearts" toggle which you can set from 1 to 5. - Add a "Death On-Touch" event. Self-explanatory. Also, give it the aforementioned fixes of "on any touch" and "Solid" triggers. (Redundant if you can use a "Hurt; Hearts 5" event.) - "Warp Random" event with a "Minimum" and "Maximum" pair of variables. (For example, if you put it down and set it to Minimum 10, Maximum 15, it will warp you randomly to a "Warp Target" with the IDs 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, or 15.) **- Fix the "swarm" option randomly working/not working on the Bee Boy event. That's all I can think of right off-hand. I'm sure I had more, but I can't recall most of them now...

...continue, life icon, drunk, airboard, airboard turn, landing, ending level, falling straight (and firing), buttstomping, firing and looking up, morphing to/from a frog, fly carrot (and firing), hurt, idle, floating, cooperative-bouncing and holding, standing at edges, moving at different speeds, pushing, revving, ball, skidding, swimming, swinging vine, air-warping... no, he's got a ways to go.

Im sure if anyone with decent art talents (maybe look in art forum?) could finish these if anyone really had the motivation to do so. I dont think Devan is necessary really. At some point adding all these new things will begin degrading the games quality until its like that mushy stuff you find in the fridge.
If you really wanted it wouldn't surprise me if someone in the community (Specifically tileset designers) would be able to pull it off. But then really, how many ppl will care. and plus fighting Devan's final boss as Devan would create a time space paradox and destroy the game anyway. IF Jazz 1.25 really needed new features, id say a better HUD/GUI, increased amount of bits so you can have more warps/trigs, and some upgrades to JCS, of course the minor bug fixes here and there, and Epic if they did it would prob add a few new enemy's and tile sets in. I personally, have always wanted an option under JCS for the enemy's to be able to set a health, so some weren't so easy. The more greedy you guys get about adding big things, the less likely that they actually be implemented in the chance that further development does occur |

I dunno, PlunK. I didn't think my ideas were all THAT out there. Aside from adding Devan to Party Mode, of course. Most of my ideas are just real simple bugfixes/slight modifications to the core engine and/or graphics. Heh. Really, I'd be real happy if Lori could grab the copters, but ESCTATIC if my palette change ideas were actually implemented. XD

that was more of a generalized statement than for your particularly. well about yours then: -Lori grabs copters is pretty important -Loris jump needs to be higher as she cant complete some of the Haunted house levels really(she can its just really hard) -I support the lori gun graphic, though practicality is a bit useless -Colour swap would be decent on her dress, but ive only seen 1 lori online ever -I'm neutral on the Devan, it would be bad but its not exactly neccisary -Rabbit Roaster gun as a power up would be a reasonable implication, provided that it had like maybe a 20 shot max so it be classified as a timed superweapon -hurts usually used as a solid object meaning it would be in random air, although the 1-5 damage thing i forward. -Instant kill event it useless if you add the 5 heart damage to a hurt -instead of warp random why not ujsut have multiple targets.... -stuck in walls is almost perfectly fixed in JJ2+ -IF you use the rocket turtle path well enough its like AI -Fast feet was replaced by the speed/speed tapping commands and is therefor pretty irrelevant -Extra time is a clone of stopwatch, therefore fixing is pointless -Purple gem works fine it doesn't need some exotic value -shooting up with shields is unnecessary they did thatn on purpose to reduce its overpowered attacking, plus if the bubbles is used properly it goes up above you -TNT crate works, its just invisible -never heard of a Rectangle gem before. |

I think they really need to fix Lori up it's hard to get though the levels with her unless you know what you are doing and i tell yah finshing all the levels with her feels like work not fun but when you get though it does leave you thinking why they even added her in the first place.
She needs higher jumping, Better colouring because everytime i go to change her colours she always ends up with the same outfit colour where as spaz and jazz get differnt colours, she NEEDS to beable to get on the helicoputer platforms i hate playing her online but i just can't stop playing as her. I could go on forever about changes that need to be made to her alone i have been using her since the game was first released and i tell you they most likly didn't even want to add her to the game she hads so meny bugs and bad design flaws it's not funny she needs to be fixed.

JJ3 maybe could be a 3D platform/sidescrolling game? for example that super mario game where it switdh from 2d to 3d or some wii game I played. JJ3 should not be full 3D
