Hiya!
I live in Eugene, Oregon. I know of another Jazzer that you missed, "Chimera". She used to go by the name of MidN, and hosts a server by the name of "Once upon a mindnight dreary" most nights. She lives in canada... somewhere. If someone could join her server and tell her of this, they can ask what providence she lives in. I'm for having a western meeting in California. I have a friend over there I'd like to visit anyways, and there's a good collection of Jazzers who live there already. I like the webcams idea... It is nice, I mean, not only can Jazzers at different meetings see eachother, but the Jazzers who can't make it can see the meetings. If some problem or another occours, I have a budget web cam at home, and I get 10 hours of dial up service free each month through MSN... Yeah, it is kind of like one of those spairs that you buy to replace a tire that only is intended to hold out until you can get to a tire store... Anyways, it IS a webcam and back up internet service... Say... Lan Party?... O_O on second thought maybe not... My computer is HUGE. I could barely get the monitur up my steps, so I think I'll pass on taking it on a bus to California... Hmm.. Lan party... Connect that Lan party to the internet... The other meetings have LAN partys too, and they are connected to the internet... Massive Jazz fest ^_^. *chuckles* But I won't be able to bring my own machine. But it would be pretty cool ^_^. I mean, people can make up some tilesets and levels for ... *scratches his head* Er... Oh yeah, we would be there to meet OFFLINE :P. Sorry. |

Millersville, Pennsylvania (Southern PA). I have no chance of getting to any meeting unless I build myself a time machine to give myself enough time and a magical hole to rob a bank without a trace of evidence.
In other words, I've not the money, the means, nor the time. In another 6 - 82 years I may be able to, though. The only way I could possibly attend a meeting is if it occurs on or near the campus here.

I most certainly do not live in West Virginia! I live in wonderful, comsompolitan, Massachusetts, 20 minutes out of the best city in the United States. Move over LA--who cares about New York--Chicago, you've got another thing coming because Boston is where it's at!

MAYBE PEOPLE SHOULD DISCUSS THIS FURTHER. *hint*
I have not often seen such lazyness. Come on, people. Start deciding on locations to meet, if you ever want to have a meeting.

Feel free Inf.Spaz. You two are only jazzers in that state it seems.
Ok, so looking at the map, the general clumps of (4 or more) people seem to be around the following locations: Around southeast Pennsylvania Central New York Southern Ontario Somewhere in Minnesota Northwest Washington Somewhat central California, on the coast We don't necessarily need people to offer their places as a meeting place. Parks or other public places can work as well.

As the organizer of one of the successful Jazzer meetings in the US, I'd like to announce that it is likely that there will be a LAN party in mid-december (during most schools' winter break) in Boston, Massachusetts. More details are upcoming. It will not be jazz-exclusive, but there can definitely be a jazzer-only component. I'd be willing to bet that the stunning duo of Ducky and Blacksheep will be able to make it, as they did last year, though I haven't mentioned this to either of them yet so I can't be sure, of course.
So, start looking at your calendars, folks. It's not set in stone yet but I really want to do it. Look for more details soon. There, quistman. Happy?

I live in Burlington Ontario, which is approx 40km west of Toronto, just in case Monolith wants to update his map.

In fact I'll post it again, for those people who don't care to go looking back on the first page. ![]()

Fox and I are going to meet, well, not just meet, we are going to go to the same college!
Besides Noogy, there really isn't anyone else nearby. And he didn't seem intrested when I e-mailed him about me meeting him. He answered every question in the e-mail execpt where I could go and meet him. If about ten more people lived near denver, I would make some attempt to get everyone together, but since it's just me and Fox, and we are both going to the mines, this is my last post in this thead. Oh, and this is the last sentance in this thread. `N0

Ah, friends are cool. *chuckles* I don't have any friends in RL, really. A friend that likes JJ2 would be nice, but to find someone in their 20's that likes a classic cartoony sidescroller that came out on PC enough to hang out and chat about it is not a very likely thing. *chuckles*
By the way, Monolith, you forgot to place me on the map. Pop one in the Eugene, Oregon location, please. ![]() There's a place around Salem, Oregon called the Enchanted Forest, and a theme park right next to it called Thrillsville that may be a candidates for a meeting place. I'm not just saying this so I won't have to travel far, but since Oregon is right inbetween Washington and California, it is not without it's merrit. http://www.enchantedforest.com/ http://www.thrillvilleusa.homestead.com/ *chuckles* I don't think anyone can stay at my place, though. I only live in a 2 room apartment... That, and I don't want anyone deciding that I have some nice stuff that would make a lovely souveneer. ![]() And sorry, Monolith, traveling isn't something I want to do too much, because it would require me to get someone to take me, as I have no vehicle or liscense. If there is a meeting in a neighboring state, though, I could possibly get a family member to take me. Oh, and any final decision should be made months in advance, and take place at the most convenient time possible, so everyone has time to get ready & get prepared ahead of time.
