I switched games. Oh yes, I did. Still got JJ2 though.

And, JJ2 got so boring as I suckedthrough the lot of it. I mean, it isn't fun if you really, really can't play good... :/

I don't host very often, but when I do you can always ask me to host a certain level. I'll probably put it up, no matter what the quality is (considering that I was hosting Bobo meets Royalty when I last had a server up).

You didn't know you were crashing? Either you're not very observant, or you're obviously lying.

Me, I'm not playing right now because the game's kinda boring... CTF in JJ2 would be fun if it felt more like it does in UT or UT2k4, but instead it feels kinda lame.. You can't kill others quickly, because you have to hit them, wait for them to stop blinking, and repeat. It doesn't feel like such a daunting task to attack the base, steal the flag, and escape. It's more thrilling when you have the possibility that you might not escape with the flag alive. Defense is also more fun in UT because you can actually kill the enemy before they grab your flag.

That, and because I'm getting into Sonic Robo Blast 2.

Just like I said in what you quoted.

But JJ2 has a community where most people play for the internet play. In Pong, you can play alone or find a version like the original and get a friend or enemy to play. But most people in JJ2 would rather play online.

Did they at least finish the game? Last time I checked there was still a whole bunch of bugs and beta look of Knuckles.

the most fun things in jj2 are tests, I think.
Tests, sometimes battle, a little bit CTF.. those things are the most fun :P

actually jj2 3v3 ctf = best mode in it (my opinion)

teambattle is just random shooting for noobs and 1v1 is boring

The problem I see with Instagib is a small level is often hosted with too many players in the server (which is almost always the case with Overlord's Instagib pack). If you ask me, a good Instagib level is larger than the typical battle level and uses many start positions. Instagib would be less random and more strategic if players tried not to die instead of shooting as much as possible.

++ CAMP TACTIC!

(Ok, and too stay on topic, I'd prefer any test and fun server over any 3v3, except a 3v3 in MS or Semi :P)

It's still better than random shooting IMO. Also, camping isn't as useful in Instagib battle games since you don't really need powerups or carrots, and ammo is often distributed evenly.

On a sidenote, I believe any gametype can be fun under the right conditions.

(And Assault owns.)

Instagib is fun because you don't have to think of stupid bunny game strategies and just have fun running around shooting moving objects.

Trust me, Blur. I tried it a long time ago, but it didn't work out so well which is why I was forced to make smaller levels for it - to concentrate the fun. Perhaps larger levels would work better for instagib team battle and iCTF. Someone (not me) should try to make a level pack for iCTF, we really could use one. Instagib is one thing I still really love in JJ2. It is so much loved in UT2004 which is why I do not see a reason why it should not be loved here as well... considering the fact that we can use more that just one weapon to fight.

Well, I can enjoy your levels with 2-3 players, but I start to dislike the gameplay after more players join. I should probably mention that for larger Instagib levels, players would need more incentive to play in all areas of a given level since powerups have lower priority and carrots have none. The only decent ways around this that I can think of is using multiple shields located far away from each and/or using coin warps (at a low amount) with shields.
(By the way, if someone remembers my coin equation, it would be greatly appreciated.)

I also agree that Instagib would work better with team games since players have more reason to use tactics.

Instagib is also really horrible in small levels with lots of lag, because you get killed while blinking but you yourself can't hurt anyone since you're blinking.

*slaps myself on the wrist*

Ive been gone from here too long! I miss you guys so much sometimes i almost cry. I miss the good ol times when seeing 16 servers was common! Ahh yes@ back in the ol days. Nowadays u rarely find 1 server up! how discraceful! *tsk tsk tsk*

Anyways: my pitiful excuses of not being with the people that taught me badly . No seriously u guys were awesome and were so cool. Sure; playing for 6 1/2 years makes u cool, but it dosent mean anything unless u respect other players. Anyways!

excuse #1: I bought world of warcraft a few months ago and am now completely addicted to it.

excuse #2: Something is wrong with my router so i get the 30second timeout error, but if i switch a few cords its fixed (the problems is that my bro dosent have any connection)

excuse #3: 5 days ago my computer crashed so that means no MSN, no JJ2, no WOW and no JJ3 ;[ it sux

Anyways i pop in here once in a long while and say hi and how much i really miss u guys, cuz all the good times i had with u guys like radium beating me with my bad spelling skills and having so many duels and of course me participating in JDC for 4 years, im considered a veteran i guess. And i just hope that all u younger and less experienced jj2 noobs follow the guidelines of paying respect, no cheating and having fun

Miss you all so much

(AND DR IS DEAD DARNIT! on WoW its called Raging Dragons and is actually quite popular - so THERE! MMMUUUHAHAH! DRAGONS SHALL RULE THE WORLD! Tee hee.
