It's called Frozen, and it shows that i've improved a LOT now compared to a few other things that you won't ever see.
Note that this is only the bottom of the level.

It needs some music. Any suggestions?

It looks alright, but be careful about using the layer 4 ground for eyecandy. It looks like its your primary form of decoration so far and it will confuse other people when they play your level, especially if its multiplayer. You should probably find some other means of eyecandy to put in your level, or at least don't put the ground tiles meant for eyecandy in layer 5 everywhere so other people can tell whats solid ground in your level.

Use layer 6/7 for something. There's just an empty blue sky in the background. If you can't think of anything to put there, maybe place a few trees. The blue haze looks good, since it looks like its water/ice and makes the bottom more interesting.

Just my opinion, though.

Problem: those layers are being used, one for background water and the other for the "Thorns"(Those blackish background things) but then again i could replace the "Thorns" with more waterfalls but...

And I've seen more confusing eyecandy than what i've done.

There's a small update to Forsaken Fortress:
I have renamed it to "International Space Port" and have taken out the lava and floating platforms & added buildings in the background.
UPDATE:

It looks nice with AND without the textured background, but some people think it looks FAR better with it off (> fade color).
I also need a better music selection for my level. *goes and asks Eigus*

Murderbeam's level look quite nice, might even look better than my levels with Inferno sets...

But it does have some tilebugs and it also looks kinda confusing.
Good job anyway.

Hey, guys, this is Aeris - I know I haven't posted in a while and sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, but I'm wondering about the status of the beta-testers who agreed to test out my level... I haven't heard from you guys in a while and I was wondering if my level pack is okay to upload. It doesn't fit in with the Christmas-y feel, so how about January? Please please respond, either here or with private messages, whatever. E-mail will work too, I don't really care - I'm just desperate for some feedback!

It doesn't really matter when to upload it, just as long as it's worth a download.

And now for some constructive criticism:
Carottus has foreground and background tiles, like the huge carrot. Use a few other layers; It wil make the level more vivid and adds depth.
Adding some "vegetables" to the ground in layer 4 makes the ground look more interesting, though it hinders the player when he/she tries to run around. The vine plants with the pumpkins are very handy if you want to give areas more atmosphere; use those!
Using the moth event is an option too, though I don't know if it'll be noticed.
Try to set the backgound colour to something like dark-blue. White isn't realistic at night, unless someone is throwing nukes around...

I guess this is just a level at it's beginning stages...

@jimbob: Carrotus Mountains is a really bad tileset remake, in my opinion. Add tilebugs and general eyecandy=like any other Carrotus level...

@snz: Yay for tileset! Yay for caveusage which looks great... Why didn't I think of that before? :S Anyway, looks good. The soil looks abit plain, though.

Gotta admit, while the level design looks a bit meh (but then again, don't they all in this thread?), snz's level has prime eyecandy.

Improved Screenshot of the first area in my level:

Yes I know the cave is gibbled, I'll get right to that part.

EDIT: To try to match up to Snooze's eyecandy without copying it:

(Yes these are two areas that are really close to each other. ;p)
And this level still needs good background eyecandy to add more of a mood to the level. ;D

Awhile ago when I posted this, saying that Memories 2 will only contain castle tilesets, I lied. I changed my mind, because it's to (-) difficult to find 6 decent tilesets.
As for 03, I had a decision between the tilesets IC - Junglerock1 or Jungle 2.0 Storm, both by P4ul, but I decided to use Jungle 2.0 Storm, as I thought it had more choices as far as eyecandy goes. Anyway, I have not started 03 yet, but will be starting very soon, perhaps the 26th.

It's not my tileset, anyways I think it has potential for another nice Christmasy-themed level:

Music is igtown.it.
And yes, the small platform endings (above Jazz) are in layer 5 so you can't get stuck.
(Hopes the name's not already taken again) *crosses fingers*
