I don't change my name in order to steal other persons ideas. You know Slaz completely fits with the names Jazz, Spaz, Razz, etc. I just added the 'Ur' before it to make it look more originaly in that way.

Link may have another opinion, my personal opinion is that the name looks too much like UrJazz's. This is an opinion and not a ruling of mine, and does not represent the other admins.

There just are many Jazzes, Spazzes, and names related to that. And Slaz also looks much like that. And ur is an internet language version of 'you are' (or just looks like it), so I think Urslaz would be good. But let Link decide, when he comes.

There's no rule that says you can't have a name that looks similar to another. You're clearly not doing this to copy or impersonate URJazz (whose 'UR' actually originates from a clan tag), and people will not confuse you. He hardly posts, anyway.

So I shall change your name to Urslaz.

I apologize for the backlog of requests. I'm right in the middle of midterms and have little free time. Other administrators should feel free to do them, but if not I'll get to them this weekend.

And please ensure that you actually want your name changed. It's very annoying to have to change them back. If people start abusing this service, it will be discontinued.

Can it be made that my username is Nitro, and instead of it saying 'formerly: Michael' it will say a.k.a? or is this too much to request?

The a.k.a thing would need an extra profile field in the database specially for you, which is a bit overkill. Alternatively you could change your custom title in "a.k.a Michael" but you would need to keep the formerly tag for a while even then. Do you still want to be changed to Nitro?

edit: the system isn't letting me have the same e-mail on both accounts, so how can i fix this? or can you fix it for me? the correct e-mail is on the michael acconut.

I've swapped the names, and changed the email address in the now Michael account (old Nitro) to the one in the old Michael account (now Nitro). So they both have the same email address.

I think Michael/Nitro wanted to go further than just swapping names. That he'd start to use the old account again and drop the newer one which is now Nitro.. so that he has an older registered date. Double accounts are forbidden, but I'm not sure if you already have two and you basically got through the system swapping them can be acted against.. I'd advise that Michael keeps using his newer account though, since it'd create confusion with his newer more recent posts not being searchable on his active account then. His newer account is his newer identity, and there should be easy access to recent posts by this user, and not only the old posts.

One thing that needs to be clear at least: do not use both accounts actively.

And the registered date is just a bonus.

Don't worry, the above is the only time I used both accounts activly. And that was for a technical reason too. And the warnings on both accounts can be balanced, like if I already had a warning on the newer account add it to here (unless that will get me banned now haha).

By saying you'd like it to stay, it stays permanently, if that is what you wanted to know.
