Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Fullscreen Issue
I have an issue with the game running in fullscreen. When I first launched the game, it worked perfectly fine, but I alt tabbed to set the 16 bit color mode. And now whenever I try to play in fullscreen (alt+enter) the screen just freezes. The game itself doesn't freeze, it is running in the background, but the screen is frozen at the last frame before alt entering. Now whenever I launch the game, if it is set to fullscreen, the screen is completely black.
Is there a fix for this? Or do I have to play in windowed mode now? |

Issues with full screen are hard to troubleshoot because they're so tied to your specific hardware. Here are some miscellaneous ideas:

I just found a way that solved the issue. Downloaded DgWoodoo and copied necessary files where they were needed.
By the way, to answer your questions, 8 bit color mode didn't fix it, deleting or editing jazz2.cfg didn't seem to work, uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work, because my PC "remembered" the setup for the game, so rather than resetting the game, it simply continued where left off despite as far as game settings are concerned, despite actually resetting everything else (save files, level progress etc). Thanks for the reply, I appreciate the help ![]() |

DgVoodoo shouldn't be necessary, but if your monitor is balking at anything else, I guess that's what you've gotta do. Glad you can play normally again.
