Eyecandy

Eyecandy or eye candy is a term commonly used by community people for a level‘s appearance. The better it looks, the more “eye candy” the level has. The term is often used as a quantity: a level that has no eyecandy is a level with only basic tiles and layout, while a level with “lots of eyecandy” is certain to be a level which utilises its tileset and layers well, and contains lots of (good-looking) graphical gimmicks. Its appearance would be described as “bland”, but in the community this is generally the only used term. A level which has bad eyecandy is the same as an ugly level.

Good eyecandy is achieved by, among other things, using layers well, having no tilebugs, and variation in what tiles are used.
