This is a fur color list for 16-bit. I tested out every color (not just guessing), and it took about 1 month to do. It has been edited by Aiko just to clean up a bit:

    ‘Details’ means stomach color and some other ‘non-choosable’ parts of the body.

if you use JazzEd to make up your fur, you don’t need to use those confusing
hexadecimal numbers. You can enter the normal, decimal values as they are
given after the slash “/” in the table below.

00 / 00 Default Colors.
5F – FF / 95-255 These depend on what tileset is used.
01 – 5F / 01-95 Even though these usually are standard

throughout all tilesets, they can differ if

the tileset maker forgot to remap the tileset

pallete, or he/she used a custom pallete

deliberately.


Blacks
01 / 01 Completely black. *
02 / 02 Same as 01. *
03 / 03 Black with a light purple outline.
04 / 04 Black with a light purple and pink outline.
05 / 05 Same as 04, but there is some white in the outline. ~
06 / 06 Same as 05, but now some cyan is added. ~
07 / 07 Black with a purple, pink, cyan, and brown outline. ~
08 / 08 !!! Horrible !!!
09 / 09 !!! Horrible !!!


Weird
0A / 10 Pink with a huge thick neon outline. ~
0B / 11 !!! Almost the same as 0A, but the main part is not visible. !!!


Greens
0C / 12 Brown with an almost solid neon green outline. *
0D / 13 Bright, neon green *
0E / 14 Almost the same as 0D *
0F / 15 A very nice light green color *
10 / 16 Default Jazz 2 green
11 / 17 Green with a subtle red outline. *
12 / 18 Dark green with a red outline. ~
13 / 19 The same as 12, but doesn’t look as bad. *
14 / 20 Dark green, with quite a thick red outline.
15 / 21 Mostly red, but some green parts.


Reds
16 / 22 Red with not-solid details.
17 / 23 16, with solider details (black). *
18 / 24 Default Jazz 2 red.
19 / 25 Solid red with a (light) blue outline. *
1A / 26 19, but nicer. *
1B / 27 Darker red, with a thicker blue outline.
1C / 28 Dark red, with a thick blue outline (non-solid details) ~


Blues
1D / 29 Red details, with a nice solid blue everything else.
1E / 30 Same as 1D.
1F / 31 Sky blue, with black details. *
20 / 32 Default Jazz 2 blue.
21 / 33 Bit darker blue, with a subtle yellow outline.
22 / 34 Blue, with a yellow outline. *
23 / 35 Yellow and black outline, with blue details.
24 / 36 Same as 23, but worse. ~


Oranges
25 / 37 Blue-grey details, with a nice solid orange everything else.
26 / 38 Same as 25, but a bit nicer.
27 / 39 Orange, with black details. *
28 / 40 Default Jazz 2 orange.
29 / 41 Orange, with a subtle pink outline.
2A / 42 Darker orange, with a pink outline.
2B / 43 Very dark orange, and a pink outline.


More Reds\Pinks
2C / 44 Red details, with a pink outline.


Pinks
2D / 45 Red details, with a nice almost-solid pink everything else.
2E / 46 Dark pink with dark red details.
2F / 47 Pink with black details. *
30 / 48 Default Jazz 2 pink.
31 / 49 Pink, with a very subtle yellow-brown outline
32 / 50 Pink with a yellow-brown (top) and dark blue (bottom) outline.*
33 / 51 Dark pink with a blueish, grayish, yellowish outline. ~
34 / 52 Dark pink with a blue-yellow-grey-green-white outline. !!!
35 / 53 Same as 34, but worse. !!!


Golds
36 / 54 Outline of 35, w/ non-solid, dark purplish-blackish details. !!!
37 / 55 Almost solid yellow outline, with the same details as 36. ~
38 / 56 Gold with bad details… !!!
39 / 57 Gold with blue details… ~
3A / 58 Gold with tan outline (solid details). ~
3B / 59 3A with thicker outline. ~
3C / 60 3B with thicker outline. ~


Whites (more like tan color to me…)
3D / 61 White, with gold details.
3E / 62 White, with non-solid, gold details. ~
3F / 63 White with black details. *
40 / 64 Default Jazz 2 white.
41 / 65 Darker white, with thin, bright white outline.
42 / 66 41, with thicker outline.


Greys
43 / 67 Darker grey, with a darker white outline.
44 / 68 Grey details, with non-solid white\black everything else.
45 / 69 Bluish-grey solid,except f/details that are non solid dark grey.
46 / 70 The same as 45, but the black is solid. *
47 / 71 Same as 46, but better. *
48 / 72 Default Jazz 2 grey.
49 / 73 Grey with a subtle light green outline. *
4A / 74 Grey w/ a really nice light green outline. *** (Link’s color :-)
4B / 75 Same as 4A,but the outline has some light black in it (not grey)
4C / 76 Grey and green; not solid. ~


Light Greens
4D / 77 A nice light green, with light black details.
4E / 78 Same as 4D, but the details are dark black+the green is better.*

56 / 86 Almost solid purple, with light black details.

59 / 89 Purple with a subtle (tileset) outline.
5A / 90 Purple with a nice (tileset) outline. (*)

Three more colors.

60/96: (Tileset), but without the black.
68/104: Like 60, but usually a darker shade.

80/128: Snow color.
