Nice battle level with new music…
Not too bad, could’ve been better.
LABRATKID’S RATING SYSTEM – Very Bad, Bad, Okay, Good, Very Good
EYECANDY: OKAY
Many places had good eyecandy, but for the most part, it wasn’t all that impressive. For example, on the foreground layers, sometimes you can see parts of Jazz through the covered areas. Other times, the same tile repeats over and over again, looking rather dull.
WEAPONS PLACEMENT: VERY BAD
There were literally no weapons. 2 crates of flamethrower ammo, and 1 well hidden crate of RF Missles.
ORIGINALITY: N/A
Castle levels really can’t be original, really, since they are so simple. Well, the level by Renegade where you are teleported if you make a wrong move was original, but that’s a rare sight.
FUN: OKAY
This level might be fun for a battle level. I can’t see how you would play a good game because there are so little weapons around, and at times, the map can be hard to maneuver around in.
BUGS: VERY GOOD
No bugs, other than a few in the eyecandy. Overall very “bug-free.”
Hmm, lets start.
Eyecandy:
This level mainly uses ONE tile for the ground and stuff. Nothing special and no other pretty things. You did do a background.
Alright…
Gameplay
The level is very lineare and it is very hard to get around. There are a lot of deadends. Try to avoid dead ends! But this might be fun for a blaster fight or a toaster fight.
Meh, not so good.
Weapons:
Only crates. While you did place weapons, there is way too less of them. And I’d try to stay away from ice. You did put a few toasters, so that gets you point :)
Nice, but could be better
Bugs
Only some tileset bugs, but couldn’t really find the rest.
Good!
Ok.
Sorry, but try to do more eyecandy and place some more weapons. Look at some recommended downloads to see what people are looking for.
