Okay, let’s start with the layout first. I don’t like the layout all that much. At first, you get lost occasionally. As you get to know the level better, you still occasionally get a bit confused as to where things are, but it’s okay, for the most part.
The gameplay is fine. Balanced, no biasing etc.
There isn’t much flow, though. Not really any flow at all.
I like the ammo placement just fine. Maybe a little bit too much, but it’s good. Too many RF’s, if anything. There aren’t many powerups, either.
The eyecandy isn’t much… and gets annoying after a while. All the waterfalls and whatnot. But, it’s acceptable. What I’m wondering is, how did you get your name in the tileset?

I played this level some while ago on Strato’s server, it played alot like an average, good CTF level (6.5-7.5).
Although the level uses Ancient Riches, a tileset by Spazzyman, the originality in tile use and eyecandy had that been-there-done-that feel, however it still looks decent.
The Gameplay had nothing that special either, in fact the layout is the worst part of this, although it’s quite playable, blue base was easier to score and attack than red. It feels complex even though it isn’t, and the bottom area bothers me, I guess because it’s so plain, it’s basicly a straight path and a couple of medium-sized hills.
The size, for a CTF level, is about right, not too small nor too big.
Ammo and Powerup placement was acceptable, no complaints. The carrot, a full NRG was placed near the middle, no complaints here either.
Good level, however nothing you haven’t seen before.

Suddenly I feel incredibly lazy.
Not bad gameplay all in all. I like the flow in most places—just not everywhere. The balance is so-so. And the blah-blah-blah is blah. I can’t think of what else to write. Not too much original stuff. This is just about a typical CTF level layout.
After seeing this level, I did, for a brief moment, consider using the tileset used myself. What changed my mind was that this tileset doesn’t have too much to offer. But the tileset is certainly used better here than in Spazzyman’s super-cramped example level. So does that mean the eye candy is above average? Sure, I guess. But, the background still looks dull with the two layers of the same exact mountains.
CARROT AND AMMO PLACEMENT:
With a full energy carrot in the exact middle of the level, the only thing keeping carrot placement from being perfect are the routes to it. It’s easier to reach the carrot from the blue base than from the red one. Ammo placement isn’t too bad, but I don’t really like it. For example, I thought the RFs were a bit too close to the bases. Powerup placement, on the other hand, is good mostly because of its simplicity.
HOST THIS OFTEN?
I don’t know. I suppose a few players could enjoy playing in this level, but it doesn’t exactly scream “fun” to me. Hmmm… 7.2 will do.

Finally, a good CTF level. Let`s start:
Gameplay: was good. good spring placement and suck placement.
Eyecandy: was just good. There was some nice eyecandy in here.
Pickup placement: good. There was good ammo and the powerups were placed good too. You need to shoot with gun 9 to get one at each side. And the seeker powerup was in the middle, good place to put it. The Full NRG carrot was at a good place too.
My rating is:7.5
I’m not a big fan of CTF levels, but I find this one’s not too bad at all. :)
