This is my second real tileset, inspired by my sister, who told me she played a weird JJRlevel with a friend. It was a level where you walked upon letters and so on. Later I discoverd she was talking about the qobduke-level from TSF.
Still the image of White letters stayed in my head and after several try’s I finaly came up with this.
It contains two Sets with each an examplelevel (I know, the Examplelevels are short and can be much better but hey, You must have something original left to create…)
So I hope you enjoy it.
This tileset is good. Creative, pretty, alphabetic :), etc.
But black tileset is better than white tileset. :)
Anyway, i liked it and i used it.
What a terrible masking job.
Nice concept though
I’d reccomend taking the “(2)” away from the white set’s filename, to avoid in-game download troubles.
SCRIPTION
I quite like this set. The masking is not that great though. The tileset is quite big, there are lots of tiles to use. It is missing some of the important basic JJ2 stuff though, including text signs, destruct and buttstomp scenery blocks (* & !). The backgrounds look good. There are 2 different versions of this set; Black and White.
I would find this quite hard to use though. I wouldn’t know where to start.
Now, for a rating, I’m gonna give this a 6.5 as it’s a pretty good set but it’s hard to use and the masking isn’t really that great.
RATING: 6.5
RANK: D – OK
DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION?
Normally I would only say yes for anything that got 7 or more but I think it’s worth a look as it is a great concept.
