This is my entry for the Clashing Swords: Duel Level Contest. This time, the theme is: Pirates!

I originally started this level in September 2024, but it only started gaining shape recently. The design was made with specifically duels in mind, while keeping the level still playable and spacious enough with a larger number of players. Coincidentally, PJ’s contest also popped up around the time there was a flow in progress.

The level combines multiple tilesets together, with some significant modifications to some of them to create completely new tile combinations and mixing up parts from different tilesets. Original authors (and editors) are included in the Credits. I didn’t count, but I probably spent over a hundred hours in total on all the tile edits altogether. I did accidentally include so many tiles from multiple tilesets that I actually reached the maximum of 4096 tiles including the animated tiles. Whoops!

EDIT: Replaced the Firework Powerup with Gun8 Powerup.
EDIT 2: Updated visuals; Recolored background bushes, fixed truncated foreground platforms, additional landmarks on the ship and below the caves.
