True, but fast fire seekers are the coolest.

I've had that once or twice.
Sprites/Anims misplaced or something?

But how do you get that bug?
|
Mar 17, 2005, 02:03 PM | ||||
That's what happens when you play Security Breach v2 too often.
Edit: Actually, I got the same bug just now when I joined the LB server. I would assume it has something to do with what the server is using, since I've never seen this bug with this level anywhere else. I also found a floating dot (it looked like the light from a speed trail but in one spot), which was what my red arrow was pointing to instead of the red flag: ![]() By the way, some springs seem to be missing as well. My only guess as to why this is happening is because the server is using the ghost thing that comes with PC4, but I somehow doubt it.

I don't trust Blur's last comment at all. ;P Not after his tricks in my server last time...

Heh, I think I would need to know exactly what's causing it first.

I was undecided between this thread or a more recent one, but it felt more appropriate here even if it meant a revival (although this thread isn't that old). Anyway, below I posted a semi-ambiguous screenshot. It could be easy to figure, or it could take a while. And DizBob can't guess because I said so.

The part of the small pillar where you are is in layer 3, and the part where the pepper spray is is in layer 5?

Nope. That's not it at all.

I don't quite understand the screenshot...are you stuck in the wall or something? Or is it the way that black mass of tiles cover about 2/3 of a tile?

Alex: In a word, lag. You've actually died but, because of lag you don't notice it. It usually only happens in really laggy servers.
As for my screenshot, I took it in Sacrifice in case you were wondering.

YES! I'VE SOLVED IT NOT!
I have worked out where exactly in Sacrifice the bug happened, so I wonder if it HAS to be there or if it can take place anywhere? Oh, and it seems to me as if Blur's JJ2 screen has not been squeezed/compressed but has simply been made much thinner, while the heiht, I think, remains the same. Could be some kind of next lvl or death bug. NEED. MORE. DETAILS. |

I'm split between giving you 2 hints or not.

You shouldn't have changed your signature, Blur. It just doesn't fit into the default JCF theme.
Hint: give me 2 hints. |

To White Rabbit, I'm not giving you any hints but I will give you some advice. What you should do is find someone you know to work with, split up your resources, then together screen through all possible solutions. And sers, what theme are you using that the links blend into background? I checked all of them and the closest ones that might cause a problem are the themes where the links are blue, but it's not that hard to read them. Back on topic, I already have the next bug ready for posting once this one is solved.

Minmay has got most of it. He's just missing one small part. And Blacky, in the screenshot, Spaz appears to be behind a background layer.

I think Minmay is close enough - the last part of the bug is easy to see when you actually try to splitscreen there.

On to the next bug:
![]() Another easy one, but it isn't general knowledge. The level is 20x15, uses just one layer, and has only two events. And in case you're wondering, the start position is where the blue Jazz is. So, the question is, how was the flag captured?

That's one method, but not how it was done. I probably should've been more specific, but instead I'll just say who's right and who's wrong.

Come to think of it, there must be a reason why are the names set not to show up.

I updated the screenshot for my latest bug so it's less deceptive. Try figuring it out now.
