Hello, foos and foo..ettes. I decided to start a little competition involving Foo Products/Fooruman/Europe. Except not Europe.

Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is to create an assault level for JJ2 that is based on the Foo Races and/or a Foo Movie. There are, of course, a few guidelines:

1.) Just because it's a "Foo Product" doesn't mean it should be of poor quality and eye candy. I want to see that you spent time on this, not just threw a level together.

2.) There should be at least 3 objectives/crates/whatever.

3.) It MUST feature Fooruman and/or Unfooruman in some way.

4.) Don't use any illegal Hocus tilesets.

5.) If all the entries suck, I reserve the right to openly mock the contestants and their levels and not award any prize(s).

6.) If you make a level for Blur's Assault Level Competition, you may submit it to this competition as well, assuming it meets all of this contest's criteria.

Yeah, prizes. The first place prize is something so amazingly mind-blowing your brain won't believe it!

Ok, so there is currently one entry and the deadline is long past. That's why I have a very special prize for the winner of this contest lined up - the winner will be awarded a limited beta of a hi-res enabled JJ2. Get to work on your entries!

There rules don't state that you cannot send in existing levels, so make a level for Blur's contest and submit it to BN's as well!

That's not against the rules at all, so long as Blur doesn't mind seeing a lot of Foo content in your submissions. ;p

It's quite simple. There's one attacking team and one defending team, right? One of the defending team must break the trigger crate when both teams are ready to let all others into the area, including himself.

Play as red team to be on defence first. So you can check.

I see. I'm the only entry so far... I don't intend to win like this, either.

I'm freaking furious that more people haven't signed up. I practically offer to GIVE AWAY my hi-res hack, and no one even wants it anymore. Ironic much?

Anyway, the new deadline for this is July 1st. After that point, the contest will end, regardless of how many entries there are (currently there's a resounding one).

Single player in hi res doesn't sound very appealing.

What I mean is, everyone has an equal chance to win. All you need to do is make a crappy level and tell me you tried to keep with 'Foo Race style' and you have a good chance. ;p

If you don't know what to do for music, I suggest using 3ddemo or 3ddemo2 to maintain that 'Foo Race feel.' If you don't have them I'd be more than happy to get them to you.

Alright, with the contest coming to an end fairly soon, here's some final instructions.

Whether or not you've already posted your map somewhere in this topic, please make a post on July 1st with a link to where I can download it. This makes it a lot easier for me, and also promotes my laziness. Please do your best to include any music with the level. Finally, good luck to all of you foos.

Looks like your AMAZINGLY BRILLIANT HI-RES doesn't get you the desired attention, sir.

Ok, so it's time to judge now. I clearly have a difficult job ahead of me, since there are only 2 entries. So I'm going to get three random people to chose what they like best, add that to my opinion, and get the result that way.

I wish I knew how to make good assault levels, I would have entered that way

I want the high-res but don't know how to do Assault levels... =(
