Yay! My first Tileset, and my first Tileset problem!
Earlier today I started to make my first tileset thing on the basic paint program, and now I think I started to get sort of good at it, at least for my first try. Unfortunately my computer doesn't seem to have 256-color mode so I cant save it into the Tiles folder in the Jazz thing.
If someone can help me solve this, I'd be almost grateful. This is what my tileset looks like. It took me 2 hours, making these things are harder than I thought, and it's not even finished yet. Er... and I'd like to put a picture of it here, but it doesn't seem to work. How do you put pictures in a post? Edit: Thanks people! The TilesetPal works great (though since it says i have less than 256 colors it isn't necessary) and here is my image thing, on Photobucket. As I said before, it isnt finished, but this is my work so far anyways. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...Unfinished.jpg Here is one that is somewhat more finished. I think I'm going to stop for now until someone has an opinion on my first tileset. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...AlmostDone.png

Well, I did try making levels before, but that was 7 years ago and on my own. It didn't work out too well. I think the best I did was make a buttstomp crate that made an entire building dissapear.

Well, after a while (long while) I decided to start working at it again so I uploaded it into the JCS to see how it would work out, unfortunately it turned out like this
![]() and I am completely clueless as how to fix it. A little help anyone? Again?

You can't use just any color for transparent. 0,0,0 (should be the first color in the palette) is simplest.

What I would recommend is, if you want pink as the tileset's transparent color, then make it the second color in your palette. Just to be extra sure you're doing it right, that specific shade of pink should be used in exactly one index of the palette.
If you're (still) using TilesetPal, before the color reduction you can change the second index to pink and mark it as "Don't Change." You'll have to do something similar to this for your textured background by the way. (this is where a link to DTR would've been particularly useful) Also, you can't use solid black (#000000) as it is since it will always be transparent. If you want to use black, use a color like #000001 instead.
