LMAT Beyonduary Theme Poll
Please vote for the options that you would help create! I'm heading this up since Unknown is busy with school... this is copied from the Beyonduary and linked threads, if you have any other ideas, vote other and please describe in detail. This isn't really a comprehensive list, and the one with the most votes isn't necessarily what we'll end up doing, but it's a start.
(Hey admins, I made a poll but "You can only add a poll to a thread within 10 minutes of posting the thread." so if you could add a poll, that would be great!) VOTE FOR THOSE THAT YOU WOULD HELP MAKE 12 options: Dark underground dungeon Animation-heavy waterfall Pandora ala Avatar Fractals Shipboard Elemental Temple (Air/Lava/Deep Sea/Ice) Factory Spaceport/Airport Wood Processing (Sawmil/carpentry/logging) Junkyard Steampunk Other (Do specify) No poll close date Yes allow multiple Yes make public Thanks!

I'd like to help for dungeons, fractals, wood processing, or steampunk, although I'd be willing to help out to some extent on just about any theme if I can find the time.

Well, I still would love to see a waterfall theme, with rocky cliffs and bright skies and such, but it would indeed be a bit animation heavy, unless we make Disney-water; you know the kind? Where only three frames are used to show the water is sparkly.
That said, I'd try to help as much as I can with any other theme. |

Instead of going for a single conventional theme, maybe mix themes together for interesting results?
For example, something like dark underground dungeon could be combined with modern elements, instead of being totally medieval. Such a theme would require more creativity. Also Factory? There are many styles to make a factory with. In fact, it's possible to make a versatile set that could be used for factories, spaceports, buildings or other similar structures. In much the same way a set like Top Secret III has great versatility. Although I brought up in the past that styled sets are better for themed levels, because you won't run out of space for tiles as easily. My vote: Other Last edited by FireSworD; Nov 15, 2015 at 11:48 PM. |

I made my vote. There are many interesting options but in the end I chose to vote only for those I would find myself creative enough in.

I think either the elemental temple or the spaceport would be a good idea, and I've wanted to do a factory for ages. But whatever is chosen, I've wanted to help with an LMAT for a while, and you can count me in. =]

Wait, we're supposed to release a tileset? I thought we were trying to doodle a little and see how many people we could get to wait for a tileset that may never be finished.

While we're on the theme of factory and such, how about clockwork? Spinning cogs, giant pistons, huge towers, etc.? That might be a cool theme for a tileset.

I think some people are confusing "vote for those that you'd help make" with "vote for what you'd like to see"...

I am, of course, like every LMAT, trying to be as helpful as I can. My imaging skills may not be that good but at least I do things nobody else wants to (just take a look at 20% of the tiles in LMAT Valentine).

Hey guess what? I'd also like to help, but I can't and probably won't. The only difference here is that I actually read threads before voting.

I think in this particular case 'would' means 'will', it's just more humble that way

CrimiClown (the idea about clockwork), Rag and Grytolle: I like all of their ideas, and I think one of them should be the next lmat. Of course the decision isn't mine, but I'd appreciate some feedback on the ideas as to why they aren't good enough or preferable ideas for this lmat..

It seems space theme is in the lead. I just hope that its a lot diffrent than the current lot we have at the moment. We have a fair few. Still I wouldn't mind seeing something a bit diffrent. I voted for Shipboard, as to my knowledge Iv'e only ever seen one, Wood Processing, would be another good one to do imo.

Spaceport and Elemental Temple are WINNING! If you disagree with these results you should do something about it.

![]() By the way, no one's voting anymore. Couldn't we start making some cool tileset? Please?

Right. Next poster gets to decide if we're doing a Spaceport/Airport or an Elemental Temple.

I was wrong. Someone voted. Yay. The Elemental Temple is winning, and it was my favourite idea from the beginning. I don't know does it matter after FireSworD post, though. Are we going to wait for even more voters or start one of these?
