JJ2WC Nations Cup Suggestions
I am still working on the final update of the III season, which will even include individual player awards and a nice CC dedicated logo.
Meanwhile, it's time to let you know about the next JJ2WC competition: a nations cup. Please let our crew know about everything you'd like to see in that cup, which would most likely be similar in its rules to the latest JJ2WC season. |

I think this one needs a longer preparation. Last nation cup there were only 8 participating countries, I think 16 would be nicer and possible. People from all kinds of nationalities need to be informed way before, so they can search and inform other people from their country.
The maximum amount of players on the roster should be quite much, it would be a good experience for all players, even if they only get to train. It would also be nice if each country could pick 1 map for the mappool. The refs can always add more maps if they think its nessecary. The countries must be well informed that they should be picking 3v3 suitable maps though. Thats all for now.

i believe a nations cup isnt gonna cut it let me post this idea of me
a 3 v 3 or 2 v 2 league cup a league cup is something that works on a point system has no final its just pure gaming for points in a 2 v 2 league cup u need 2 v 2 teams excisting of 3 members (like replacements if someone is un avaible) in a 3 v 3 league cup a team needs to excist of 4 to 5 members in a league cup its about all teams having faced each other 2 matches only . (one on team 1,s level one on team 2,s level) the point system looks easy but isnt easy 3 points for win 1 point each team for draw if at end 2 teams have the same score the F/K ratio takes over . Flag scores and kills and offcourse u can think awards in such a cup . its not about who eliminates the most teams cause some tems dont even got to face each other . a league cup if there are like 16 teams in the duration will be 22 matches if a team is disqualified for what ever the reason . the teams that still eed to face them win by forfeit and gain 3 points . the teams beated by the team will gain 1 point if they beated the team and 3 points if they didnt beat them

That you liked the way the JJ2WC went doesnt mean that the way the matches were set up was perfect. I think we should get the bad spots out, for example the 4 round matches which were way too long for most ppl in the knock out stage.
Btw in a league everyone plays against everyone and the one that won the most is then the winner. In a cup the winner is decided by the final with the best 2 teams left, a group stage could be first so that all teams at least have some matches to play. Seeing the way ppl are debating about maps I still think that every nation should have the right to pick a map.

Well then its even better that that map is in the pool since two countries like it.
And the admins can still add maps if they think more are needed, bcs for example semi is excluded or 5 countries picked the same map.

Making such contests too often may however eventually lower the overall quality/number of entries.

picking levels sucks . so you can make teams prepare for the levels . i am huge fan of an invisible map pool . every nation picks a number and each number is a different level in the pool . so that on the time of the match then u see what level it is . so u see wich team is better

If you wish for countries like malaysia or australia or even the USA to be in then it would be hard to find a free hour for both countries if one of those plays against an european country, due to time difference. Having to play 4 matches makes it rather impossible.

I'm afraid if I ever wonder UK will come back as a team again for JJ2..I know Scotland wouldn't work at all as I know I'm the only player who seems to be from there who is still playing. Most of UK players are inactive and I'm not sure how what we can be combined with. PJ can you hear me (yeah I understand your bad connection these days is the main reason you hardly play online though)!? I think Dutch and Polish players are plentiful enough to play as their own country, so I see no need for those to be combined with any other. Other countries could be willing though.

Utrecht-Flevoland: Vegito, Shaney, Laro
Gelderland: Chiyu, MS, Slaz, Shaker Brabant: Loon, Mithos Don't know where Sweet, TW and jazzRP are from... Fofel is from Overijssel, which is closest to Gelderland, but it would be more fair to add him to Brabant. Haha, all just an idea. >P
