There is no font, it was all hand drawn by Nick.

TSF does have a logo bar on startup, so... maybe?

AFAIK Plus is loaded at the moment the logo bar disappears... so changing that would require changing the way Plus is loaded as a whole.

Oooh of course! You mean the black bar on the in-game splash screen. I must admit I don't know, whether this is possible. Violet, maybe?

As you can see in the opening post, the black bar is part of the image, so if another image doesn't have a black bar, it won't be there.

The "whether this is possible" referred to silencing the 'Press Fire' text if the image does not have a black (or other solid colour) bar at the bottom. Since that would require scanning the image etc. But on second thought, if we end up using such an image, we can just simply silence the text in a hard-wired manner. Duh.

Short answer: so yes, of course it is possible.

An option to customize which screen we see would be a better idea, but I really want the first image wiivn posted here for my game. Sexy Bunnies!

Changing the splash screen is certainly a good idea, but I have another request (and maybe is it misplaced?): could you change the menu screen to other colours with different music during special events like Christmas? It would occur during a week, for example 72 hours before and after December 25. There might be:
• Christmas with the same green look as in 1.24x Christmas Chronicles, with Whare.j2b;
• Halloween with a dark grey look and probably Haunted.it;
• Easter in blue and Easter.it.
If you like the idea, maybe a new thread would be great?

It doesn't come with the new splash screen either.
Users may add them or the default Menu.j2b may be used instead. The color would be more striking anyway.

About the initial subject, I've asked a friend (Lolo, if someone knows, from his rare server) to draw something for you and he decided to draw the new splash screen as a vectorial image, but we don't really know how to fill the background (and even the foreground actually). Any cool idea?

See, JJ1 got it right. Besides a quick cutscene-only mention of santa claus, everything is "holiday" and the menu snows when it might be snowing in real life, at least in the northern hemisphere, rather than during any special event in the middle of that season.

I vote for linking JJ2 with location discovery and weather services to find out about the actual weather at the precise place where someone is playing JJ2. Turn on the holiday theme if it's snowing. And maybe add stuff like thunderstorms or apply a heat effect to the main menu at hot days.

And then it stays there until April.
Clearly the best option is to leave the winter theme on in JJ2 at all times just in case it's snowing somewhere.

We do! This year in NL, snow actually fell on easter. Which made me feel ironic, as I had just released a JJ2 level called 'Frozen Spring' around that time.

Also don't forget the 16 °C new year's eve. That totally justifies the fact that J2O didn't have snow until January.

Nope! In Australia you hardly ever get snow, and most certainly not before Winter.

Please, just do something simple, using for example the last two weeks of December… Simple but which works!
And sorry for religions (or origins); I thought about it while writing Easter but supposed it was not so important as the game uses those feasts as tilesets.

That looks like some real passionate effort there DoubleGJ! Spaz looks slightly more 'spazzed' and Jazz's mad like his alter-ego in Guilty Gene.. Just remember that any effort will at least come out better than sexy furr- ehh bunnies.
