🥕 Anniversary Bash 28 🥕

April 10th - 13th, 2026

The Anniversary Bash (commonly referred to as just the Bash) is an annual event celebrating the initial shareware release of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 (April 9th, 1998). A dedicated server with a customised level list is hosted for the duration of the nearest weekend to this date.

Q: Why should I come?

JJ2 is fun! Especially in a big server with many players simultaneously chatting and playing. The bash is the best time to enjoy this experience, with people new and old coming together to one big melting pot of multiplayer madness.

Q: What do I need to do?

Get Jazz Jackrabbit 2 here, and install the JJ2+ patch. The server will be open to everybody (up to 32 clients) - join and hang around for as long as you like!

Q: What's going to happen during the event?

The bash is divided into two gamemodes: Battle (free for all) and CTF. There will most likely be short special events hosted on the Bash server.

Q: Who's organising all this?

Organising the bash falls upon the Jazz 2 Online staff, with several volunteers helping out with ideas and feedback.

working on a level for it!

for the cooming Bash 28
.
i had in mind, to create a level..
but the thing is.. i didnt made it finish..
.
if you ask: why i wanted to create a level for this bash?
A: yes.. when i was playing with usagi, we both are from germany (we played always at night)
we played so endless much, of these old bash levels..
so i first found out, that i never had a level from me in the bashs
in the past i never had give the Bash a level from me,
so this time,
i really had in mind to give this anniversary bash finaly a level from me..
.
but the thing is.. i didnt made it finish..
.
my first level, all my work is by 75%
and the second level is 10% done.
so i not even was able to finish my work..
.
im only here to say, my 2x levels will not be finished in time..
so i will try to finish them one year later..
so they will not come for this bash
i will try to make them finish, for the next bash29..

im so sorry so say that.
but i had no chance to finish my 2x levels..
(they had a very good quality, good eyecandy.. perfect to play)
if you ask: why i was not able to finish them?:
in my real live, there was always something that did hint me, to work on these levels..
and there, was also the time, when i needed to look for my own real live,
so at the end, i had no chance to finish them..
so im only here to say, my 2x levels will not be finished in time.
