It's another thing you'd only use once in a level. Not really worth taking up a dozen tiles to animate.

Yay, Unknown! You spared me the work of having to do something with those green thingies at the sides of the vines myself ( which I would've done next time )!
( Oh, and good job. *ahem* ) Pageclaim for Unknown Rabbit.

Hahaha, almost didn't notice the 3rd page. That makes 6 edits before I finished my work (and no, don't wait for me).

![]() Cave tiles! These ones are METAL PLATES. EDIT- I should have waited too. Well, this won't be too hard to splice onto whatever the latest tileset is.

...not sure if I like the color of the plates, Risp ;|.
Anyway I don't think that we need two versions of acid now... or maybe we could replace the water tiles with blur's version of acid? ;0

You mean shading, or that fact that I made them brown because if I didn't somebody else would edit them to be brown?

Heh, a second later. Fawriel, I edited the vines under the rock, fixed up the wood things (the most irreverent method to make new tiles is simply flipping old ones--argh), and made slow decisions particularly with the lava. There was also editing my edit everytime someone uploaded a new edit.

Look, if you want to make it actually look like metal you need more contrast. At the moment the tiles look to be made of polished obsidian.

I mean, you must open a door with the sword and theres a stone nearby. You get the sword, get back, crash a crate (which fell from somewhere) and a sword appears in the stone. Quote:

I don't like the name Kansas. It doesnt suit the tileset at all.
Maybe Acidus? or perhaps Cyborus? I like the tileset though. Good work. Heh. Fooruman is in High definition now. Anyway, i dont care if its named Kansas.

Also:
![]() ![]() ![]() Yep, they would make for horrible example levels. The first one is a somewhat likely preview. The other two I messed with the background a bit. I'm not even sure the third one is possible in JJ2. This tileset is getting the best of me.

How about impractical but awesome looking rock slopes? (see post #99)

...which is why it's impractical, although I think it blends in well enough. They would look good if used seldomly. I agree with Faw about the rock, although the rock with the sword should stay the same. On a side note, see an "example levels" in post #103.

![]() Risp's first... but I changed the vine-to-lightning from a little peice of lignting to a little peice of metal, so ours our in-compatable. Oh, and I also got around to shading my metal lightning maker.

It's the decision of whoever goes next which to go with, or to just combine them two.

Well, it looks better. But it gives you less places you can put the vines, since you didn't bother to include vines that can come from the sides of walls, just vines that can come from the ends of platforms. Really, it would be the work of a minute or two to fix the problem with either, though.

Well, the whole idea of what I did was that the electricity could be seen flowing into the animated bolt (hence why you also see electricity in the ground tile itself, in what I usually think of as "eye" here). Without that it seems pretty much useless to do it this way (with the electricity in the eye). Only way it might work if you do it the metal way I think if is you make the small bit of electricity in the eye animate/flicker a bit.

I think the blue bolts looked better without the metal thing producing the electricity (they will still animate fine). Whoever posts the next update should keep N0's shading on the metal lightning makers, though.
Also, there is no good place for the fire to connect. And am I the only one who thinks the one-pixel-thick lightning looked better?

These images are getting really huge and frequent. Feel free to just post a few tiles in or out of context and have them be added in later.
