I posted a thread on the JCF asking if anyone knows what the actual source for this nonsense about the Andromeda/Triangulum/Milky Way galaxies is, especially since it seems to contradict what the actual manual states about the Gene Machine episode. The source Ischa cited does not itself explain where it gets its information from, and so far nobody has come forth with any explanation for this notion. If nobody presents any basis for the local group allocation in the next few days, either here or in the thread, I’ll remove it from the relevant articles.
