First of all, MattW, you should always put single player start position in your levels, not only multiplayer start events. It makes it way more difficult for us reviewers to do our work. Thank you in advance!
Now, as for the level, it’s not really cool. I still have the feeling its more a race level than a battle. It’s too linear and has a lot of confusing warps. The tile placement looks blocky and in some places weird. Eyecandy is not available in this version either.
I’m sorry but i wouldn’t waste my holidays (if i had some :-) playing this level. The author should better finish this level…then re-upload.[This review has been edited by Aiko]
“Ancient Dungeon CtF” is another very good level creation by RockyR.
The design is very open and therefore fluently playable (which is great :-). I also like the use of the Castle tileset. Pretty original and good looking! The weapon selection is very neat either. Only the CTF base placement is a bit questionable. But, as you may know, i’m not a big CTF fan…so what do the CTF experts say?
All in all, i recommend this as a GREAT LEVEL DOWNLOAD for everyone! You’ll like this (7.5 because of the originality)!
“A White Christmas” was one of the first custom made levels that used the “Holiday Hare 98” set from the game with the same name. And it still rocks!
It has a very circular and fluent design with no dead-ends or other useless stuff. There is some nice eyecandy (not too much though) and overall, this map will make a fun battle (its not too large which can be quite fortunate if your server lacks of players)!
Only thing i’d change is the background music. “White Hare” is of superior quality than the song from HH94 (or was it from 95?) and would have fitted a tad better.
Conclusion: “A White Christmas” is one of the few real classics you have to choose from when the christmas season comes! No doubt, this gets a strong DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATiON! Get it before its too late! (very high seven points!)
The “Rainy Rain Forest” (pretty dull level name i think) is a great new battle map full of ideas and creativeness.
I really like the way the author used the Jungle tileset. Opinions may differ about the two waterfalls using the background tiles…i think they fit quite good. The eyecandy is really darn cool and even kinda reminds me of Spy’s awesome “Mystic Forest Cave”. Level design is also very, very good. It’s pretty small and tight, just what we need for a fun battle with 1-8 people.
Only small “downfall” is that i would have liked to hear the original Jungle music but that doesn’t take too much away of the good rating.
To sum it up, “Rainy Rain Forest” is a VERY VERY GOOD level and therefore a MUST DOWNLOAD! Great battle action guaranteed! (i was undecided between 8 and 7.5)
Original and Outstanding use of the tileset. Nice design. This is worth an 8.[This review has been edited by Newspaz]
at first i have to say i dont like the so called “challenge-lvls”, but oh well lets rate:
the lvl (or actually 3, but they are all the same except for the colors and music) is full of challenges, like mazes, sucker tubes and stuff like that. it is kinda irritating when u have almost reached a goal and then get warped back, or sucked back :( dont like it. the music in the first lvl is kinda cool, a real challenge music :P. but the nxt lvl “dope3” was missing (sequel?).
d/l this if you are in for a challenge, but it aint everyone’s cup of tea (hey, that didnt sound too bad ;)
Pretty good for a first level!

Some are funny, some aren’t.
I also agree that this is a good download. (Even So, I had to cheat to get to the end (Like I always do on Single-player levels. :) )
Well, it was one of my first…
…Anyways, I will improve on it.
It was a good idea to use the custom tileset “Mountain Hill Zone” by Disguise (which is not a “Bash III tileset”, as the author called it).
Then again, it was a very bad idea to not include the tileset in the ZiP archive. Well, i’ll rate it anyways (using the tileset version released on 20-04-2000).
However, the level’s design is pretty bad and i didn’t find any real appealing, creative ideas at all. The CTF routes aren’t too well placed as well. To mention something positive, the music fits very good (Disguise used it for this tileset in “ZA’s Good Side”). Eyecandy: none. Conlusion: The level is far below the average and therefore gets a low rating. You can read the next review now. Bye.
Hmm. I’m not an expert-CTF rater, so don’t kick me if I write a wrong review :)
Well, this lvl is:
-Too small
-MUCH Too small
-Unfair (red and Blue same start pos)
-Bad use of tileset
-A lvl without music
-Too dark
-A lvl with irritating animated circles
It’s not a good idea to don’t include the tileset in the .ZIP file. I think you don’t want to d/l this.
Boo. This is not a good lvl. I think it needs LOTS OF work, as JelZe said,
The level is very linair, and very short, lack of eyecandy, no music, no weapons, enemy’s, that’s it. Not worth a try.

“Change it from Assault to Other on your description. I don’t know about you, but when I am searching for Assault levels I don’t want to be scrolling through programs. =P”
cough
Hint, hint… =P

Also add the things from Jazz 2 Customizer in case you want a 10. Heh just basically needs that.
This is better than Jazz 2 Organizer it can do a lot more stuff. Just 1 concern make it so only 1 category item can be selected. So don’t accidently wrong thing.
This is a cool program recommended Download!
