(warning: this complaint not for ages 8 and under) Where the heck do you get that from? One: you can get un-stuck by typing jjfly, holding the down key and pressing shift; you’ll go up. 2: the mummy bunnies can get annoying; that’s why you dodge them and look for ways around. 3: how do you think the game would look if you suddenly went from (i’ll use the original jazz2 episodes for an example) carrotus straight to the midevo set? Pretty crappy. It is very hard to draw a decent tileset (at least in paint it is), and i’ve tried designing levels; they’ve sometimes taken me a month or two, and still look terrible. my final comment: if you think this set sucks, let’s see some of your stuff. I think the virdict will stand: YOU SUCK.
A very p!$$ed Hawkin 87 >:-([This review has been edited by Hawkin 87]+ The level is good predator .You made some really hard parts in it.So it isn’t a three minutes level .Also u got at start training parts where u can choose one .The tileset is well choosen .
- The level hasn’t music and maybe u could choose some more layer and a different background
All in one it is a good level For people which like hard parts in a level.
HUH? I haven’t reviewed this yet? I thought i did….
Anyway. It’s one of the most cool great super best smashing packs i’ve ever seen. Especially if you are a battle freak (like me :) You should download this. The tielsets are very great, the levels are very great, the music is very great…
Very Great :) Download now.
P.S. I think Wasteland wasn’t released when this pack cames out. Right?
Too muck foreground, bad background, too much badguys, too much stuff (but… stuff ‘s good :)
4.5
Uhm, I thought Newspaz asked to don’t give a rating. Please change it.
Cool![This review has been edited by Genotoxin aka iCeD]
Seems pointless to me.. the Bash that is. Oh well, I won’t be there anyway (though I have tons of time to show up).
I can’t help it that I hate training levels. It surprises me that this level gets a high rate. Of aiko even a 7!! I can hardly get a 7 of him. I cant give a download recommendation to this level.
The eye candy is “really” bad. I feel like putting it 5 points down cuz of that. But I won’t. The playability is what really makes me rate low. Some puzzles are impossible.
I don’t like it very much, but a 6.0 for the idea (who ever edited a song?)
P.S. To Aiko, why you said to the admins they must delete a track when i added it to the download database? Why? And why you don’t say that to Wakeman also?
Yup. But i have the tileset. -10 points for forget including the tilesets (Joke!). 7.0 points for the levels. Downlaod recommendation
Now i underdtand :)
Kool levels! if i was supposted to rate this, it would get a 9.0 (Sorry, NewSpaz, but i really wnat to rate this :-)
Muh. it’s a great tileset, but bad masked. You’ve used automask, spazzyman? It’s seems like something like that. I think you could remask it and re-upload. Then i’ll re-rate this. Send me a PM if you did it :).
Lets say it straight away: i don’t like the layout of “Aztec Antics” too much.
There are too many dead-ends, long sucker tubes and the like. Sorry, but the design is not really circular (as it should be in a good battle).
The author obviously made some attempts of putting eyecandy but it still needs more.
The Copter event isn’t a good idea in any case because our sweetness Lori can’t grab it (you may have noticed that).
Apart from that, the Jungle music doesn’t fit very well: i’d like to hear the tune Blade (the author) used for his tileset.
Overall, personally, i don’t find “Aztec Antecs” worth a download. It is below the average.
P.S.: The next level setting leads to a level that isn’t included in this ZiP file. Bad idea.
P.P.S.: Leader of DF, delete your first review here and add your comment to the “author’s description” by clicking on “edit info/re-upload”. And don’t make spam comments/reviews, please!
Huh? Bash? Music? I don’t get it…
“Gamecreators lvl6” (well, the name gets the “most horrible name of the week” award) is a dutch-german coproduction because it includes the nice “Dschungeldanger” tileset by mirrow (about 220 good-looking tiles).
I’d really like to review the tileset as itself but well…we’re talking about the level here.
It has a pretty good design (i esspecially like the weapon selection) and there is some eyecandy (could be more though). The Jungle background music doesn’t fit too good in my opinion (as you probably know, i prefer custom music for custom tilesets).
All in all, a quite good battle map that could be the stage for a fun rabbit roasting party. A great DOWNLOAD for all battle fans.
P.S.: Bad next level setting (leads to Battle1, fix it by re-uploading!).[This review has been edited by Aiko]
yea i got the same error
try to put some enemies out .
cya
Don’t have the tileset and it isn’t included. No rating.
Correction for the Readme: Cheq was created by Onag, and Bobo Meets Royalty was created by HiDDeN aka sABAKA.
Good:
1) Someone made a tileset :)
2) Various types or themes of blocks
3) 7 Tileable backgrounds
4) Great detail on imported graphics
5) Animated Tiles
6) Tubes, Vines, Arrows, and Destructable blocks
Bad:
1) Imported graphics
2) Backgrounds don’t work in textured mode
3) Lack of texture on tiles
4) Lack of 3D detail on most tiles
5) No poles
6) Terrible masks at areas
7) Lack of diagonals
8) No example level
Hmmm, an average tileset. I’m at least pleased that someone tried the effort of making a tileset. Quite an average set, but the mask can cause someone being stuck VERY easily on the imported graphics. A big no-no and definitley cripples the rating.
Download this if you like making blocky levels with lack of detail on the tiles and awesome little characters in them you can get stuck in and killed. If the above is true, this is a MUST download :)
I will be uploading the CTF pack tonight, April 4.
