Nice try, but horrible gameplay.

EYECANDY
This can do it, it’s not that bad, because of just nice platforms with no big bugs, but some strange groups of diamonds is what makes this not so good anyway.

GAMEPLAY
H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. Sorry. You have nice ideas, but things like bees and a pole that you swing back and get hurted again is bad. There is a trap of hurts, it’s too short – if you make another level, try to focus on gamplay.

PLACEMENT
It’s a tiny level, so there isn’t that much placement, but it’s okay for what is in here. There are not many enemies and no ammo, though.

OVERALL
Nice try, I know you can do it, but please focus on gameplay and try to get the eyecandy less strange. A 4.5.

Eyecandy – Okay
The eyecandy is okay… there’s a background and all (no textured background, though), and there is plenty of sprite layer eyecandy, and some foreground eyecandy. The only problem is, it’s kind of overdone, especially at the beginning.

Download reccomendation: Not really. If you don’t, you’re not missing out on anything, and if you do, it’s nothing special.

Eyecandy – Bad / okay
There is no background, but Kate seemed to be putting in eyecandy tiles right away, which shows potential. However, she didn’t do it as well as you could’ve.
Gameplay – Very bad / bad
Bad gameplay… but don’t all first levels have bad gameplay?
Enemy placement: Bad
Bad enemy placement… of course, she didn’t know any of the enemies when she placed them, so she placed random enemies that sounded cool.
Ammo placement: N/A
Food placement: N/A

Overall : Bad / okay
This is good for a first level… no download reccomendation, but if you want to see an example of a decent first timer’s level, download this.

Hmm first off al, when you’re so far you can fall, every scene you can fall, its to hard when you look so, but, for a good singleplayer player its a good SP. But a normal avararage cant play this out, for all of this a 6.5 good try! (for good SP players)

A race level.

Hmmm its a bit to small, i think you must make it minimal 30/40 tiles bigger.
Not a realy bad layout : Avarage/Good
Gameplay is funny with more players ten 4 : Bad/Avarage Next time you must make it a bit bigger, this time you have make a good layout/level with to small tiles, make it bigger and you have a higher rating!

You didn’t include the tileset. From what I’m seeing from the other reviews, that’s a good thing.

Nice level here. Good flow and decent eyecandy for this tileset. There is a bug, though, that involves the warp spitting you out too close to a wall, so I’m going to have to take off 0.2 points for that. There’s not much worse then getting stuck in a battle level, because the other player gets a point for saving you. Either that or you have to use Controller to suicide and get accused of cheating, or rejoin, and lose all your points. Anyway, good level.

Host this often: If it was 1.23, I would occasionally.

Bjarni, shields are bad to put in levels, and lots of powerups are bad. Thanks for the review.

BlurredD, that floatup was put in for flow purposes. If you run off the platform to the upper right of it and land on one of the window sills and keep on running, you need to floatup because otherwise you will bump into the window sill, ruining the flow. Eye candy: Good, I like the mountains, and the trees, wow!
Weapons: Alot of them and alot forget sucks as TNT, freezer .e.t.c.
Carrots: One Full Energy!
Powerups: Cool, two powerups, but you can add more! But cool anyway! B-)
1up: No, there is none! Why do you need one? I ask!
Bakcround: Textured, that’s cool!
Start points: :o Wow, alot of them, good work!
CTF: Two, like it much be, no less no more, good!
Enemies: No, they doesn’t work in Multiplayer! So great!
Music: Cool music! B-)
Tileset in used: I love this tileset! ;-D Disguise worked really hard
Shields: None, that’s ok
Coins: Nope, no secret area no coins! It’s like it much be
Secret Area: No Secret Area

Overall: 8.2/10

Things that you can fix:
1 You could have more weapons
2 And powerup for all weapons
3 You could have Secret Area and some coins
4 You could add shields
5 You can have the level larger!
6 You could have more eye candy
7 You could also have password so nobody can steal your level

Those are just tricks what you should fix! Nice work, Labratkid you’re master in making levels! Yes you are! ;-) 8.2 have a nice day!

This is my favorite battle level of all time. The eyecandy is good for this tileset, the flow is amazing, the music is nice, gameplay is good, layout is great, ammo placement is nice, and everything is just good.
